JASONFANDORA  Always used Onyx until OSX 10.6 was launched. Several issue pops up every other time.

I had high hopes for this version but nevertheless, it still has issues.

First, it locked up on startup. It is running (and doing nothing) for about 1-2 minutes before it actually reacted on my actions.

Anyway, some tweaks still not work with 0SX10.6. It also lacks some new known tweaks already available for OSX10.6.

Therefore I keep using iTweax2. It has all the new tweaks for OSX10.6 and works a bit better for me in general.

I always liked Onyx but nowadays I cannot ignore the feeling it is not developed as it was in the past. A shame really.

SHAUN  Have you sent a mail to the developer about the tweaks that do not work or about your problem on launching the app?

JASONFANDORA  Great to see my favorite tweak application is updates regularly for new OS X 10.6 tweaks.

Although the interface is very similar to Onyx this is much cleaner and not overloaded with stuff no-one is using anyway.

Thanks to the DEV for making this free ! Great job.

JASONFANDORA  I promptly registered after converted a bunch of mkv movies.

Previously working with VisualHUB for a long time I am pleased to see another developer has made a decent multi media handler.

This is even better compared to VHUB and the interface is top-notch. A pleasure to use.

The only draw back I could find is maybe it has too many options to fiddle with. Most will not be used by many.

JASONFANDORA  Nostalgia mode on !

Searching for roms isn't particularly difficult and you are in no time in the late 80s.

What can I say? It works and it brings you back in the good-old era of computer nerds.

Thumbs up.

JASONFANDORA  I also had this issue. But I later discovered you can actually choose another destination folder by clicking on the most right button at the bottom. :-)

JASONFANDORA  Good idea and it simple.

But 20 bucks? Gimme a break. Just for that I give it 2 stars instead of 4.

PETER SICHEL  Phone Amego targets a broad range of Bluetooth phones and provides elegant on screen callerID as well as Address Book and Google Voice integration. Other apps in this category are similarly priced. Check it out.

JASONFANDORA  64bit seems to be hot now with OSX10.6.

In practice this isn't a big thing. Just uses more memory.

But still, Transmission is the torrent app for OSX. There is no alternative for me.

Thumbs up

BLABLABLA@DODGIT.COM  you are talking about virtual memory and that does not count (I think)

PETER_EARTHMAN  64bit applications uses a lot of memory (virtual ram is only used when low on real memory).

Most times it is even slower running in practice. Integers are a little bit faster to handle with 64bit cores though. Float is slower to handle.

The only real advantages is you can use more then 4GB memory. Nothing more nothing less.

64bit is actually a big hype with little value for 99,99% of all users.

Are we all going to buy 10.6 because it has full 64bit support? No

Are we all going to buy 10.6? Yes
