JAGGED EDGES  Apologies to all for the lack of recent updates (4 years being my definition of "recent"). I'm a student in high school and my workload is very large. Supporting a free program is difficult enough when you're not applying to college, too.

However, I am tinkering with this project again and I thank everyone for their encouraging comments. If it is rereleased, it will be an entirely new program with the same features but modernized. I'm excited about this but again can't promise anything definite, or within any specific timeframe.

I'm glad to be a part of the exciting Mac developer world and to have been a leader, for a time, in the area of free screenshot programs, and I owe all the credit to my users. So thanks!

White Emoticons
May 11 2007

JAGGED EDGES  I've been here since '02 (perhaps longer?); don't take the lack of posted comments as a lack of membership. Don't jump to conclusions. But I don't want to get into an argument about that.

They aren't THAT similar. Look at shape. Look at specifics. Besides the grinning one, they don't look that similar. And they're emoticons. They're not that creative, ANYWAY. Try making white emoticons with little red faces that don't look like Mr. Lanham's. Does he now own the concept? And even his work was based on another, the Somatic theme. This isn't stolen work, and even if it's inspired, it's different and "original" (in the I-did-it-myself sense), and we should all stop chastising this poor developer.

White Emoticons

JAGGED EDGES  You're right. This thief should immediately give his apologies to the inventor of the first-ever white emoticons, Mr. Lanham of Adium Xtras, and straightaway give due credit to Lanham, the most under-appreciated genius of our age. Where would these emoticons (or any of us?) be without Mr. Lanham's white emoticons? Why, certainly, these icons with their similar color scheme would never exist. This case is comparable to Mr. Einstein's blatant theft of the Theory of Relativity from the Swiss patent office. (I should know, I was the original inventor.)

Golly.
