I've been a long time user of this and - yes, it was a free upgrade. :) |

A fantastic browser with fast and well thought out features. Alas, it doesn't work with 1Password, so unfortunately, since I moved over to that, I rarely use it anymore. I still keep it on my drive though for doing small screen browser testing. |

To clarify the above I was actually using 1.1.2. Also, I was using Gibbon, not Heron. My apologies. Not enough coffee this morning! The advice regarding the tool install still applies! :) |

This is very likely. The bet best would be to install the tools and see what happens. I have a standard install of 8.04 running just fine with 1.2, bar the fancy graphics. Not surprising really. |

A very nicely designed application, with excellent use of Core Animation, etc. Drag and drop simplicity and very intuitive to use. BUT....the price is expensive when compared to established players in the market, such as NetNewswire and especially the ever improving Vienna, which is also an excellent product. I personally own a licence for Endo, but with some annoying glitches and variable support, I've not bothered with it in recent times. I could be persuaded to buy another licence for another product, but I doubt at this price. A shame. |

This doesn't make playable DVDs. Who wants to use MPEG-2? I certainly don't... |

Easily the best password manager. Beware this version requires you to buy a new licence if you have a Mac Gems (or similar) licence. You do get a 15% discount if you move quickly - I did. |

As a licensed user of both, I've found Fusion to be by far the most robust and stable of the two. As someone who updates firmware on various home devices via PC USB, Fusion has performed excellently on every occasion - Alas, the first time I tried it with Parallels, it blue screened, bricking the device - leaving me at the mercy of the device's warranty. I've never used it since. Thankfully the device was replaced and since, I've used Fusion to do this with no problems! :) |

Great product - and I appreciate the open source, non paid for aspect. It's well featured, but boy, is it slow to develop. v1.0 to v1.6 in what, six years? I wish I could contribute in a meaningful way... |

Nice idea, but the DL from the site shows French application text on my British system. Can see English in the screenies, so they exist somewhere...? |

This is a great, solid application. Well designed and full featured. It filled a spot I had suffered for ages. Worth the cash. Once caveat - The update mechanism seems a bit fiddly. Could Sparkle not just update the app in situ instead of running an installer? Minor niggle, I know... :) |

Imagine a lite version of Photoshop. Sure, you need to check it out to make sure it's not missing the crucial features you need, but otherwise, it loads fast and does some good things very quickly. Worth the time. Loads in a tenth of the time of PS. Getting better all the time... :D |

Sorry, you've actually missed my point - I'm talking about piping Growl notifications through to the PS3. Messages would appear on the PS3 - about the Mac. Not the other way around. Beige: You'll want to see your wife about that!! ;) |

np - I was thinking along the lines of any notifications that were forwarded to other computers could include the PS3 as a viable destination. Examples could include new email, backup complete or anything that is setup to respond via Growl...could be pretty much anything. |

The kind of notifications were to do with the Mac - Ever used Growl? Obviously not... |

After my earlier comments, I wanted to say that the latest version appears to work flawlessly. I threw some large HD + 5.1 audio media at it and it all played without a hiccup. Great work - All is good. I'm now going to revise my ratings accordingly - only fair! Now, how about some Growl notifications? :D |

I set it up last night and found it to be generally reliable, but not quite perfect. Non-DRM'd iTunes tracks work nicely, as well as videos and iPhoto images. iPhoto events are also supported, as well as DivX. The ability to browse a whole volume is also welcome. There are a few annoying delays and pauses during the loading of some media - and I had to do a PS3 restart because of a possible lockup. Easily the best OSX/PS3 solution. A promising start - Room for improvement though! |

Be aware there is an upgrade fee for v.3 users. Although likely, this wasn't confirmed until actually running the app. |

Nice idea and features - Not sure about the price. Tried it out and it left some inconsistent artefacts on my dock. I then defaulted to the 'original' and it doesn't work correctly. I can live with it for now however. :/ All in all a nice idea, but with a couple of not-very-nice bugs at the moment - I also think $5 would be more palatable! YMMV. |

A superb, well designed Mac-like piece of software from Nokia. I'm stunned. Allows iTunes and iPhoto integration, plus more. If you have a supported phone, it works a treat. Recommended. :D |

I did try SideNote - and liked it - although I had some reliability issues (the tab would disappear with no way to re-activate it) on my then new MBP and subsequently dropped it. :( |

I totally agree. As someone who's used DT since v1, I found DD a lot more flexible and also registered it soon after launch. Unfortunately, due to lack of development, I moved back to DT some time later. I'd be very surprised if anyone has actually 'waited' for DD all this time. I should think they moved on long ago. |

I've found it wasy to install, setup and reliable in use. Have streamed a lot of stuff with this. Used it to play music via iTunes the other night while showing a bunch photos from iPhoto. Worked a treat. Obviously the movie support is cool too!! Looking forward to trying the new codec support... |

Nice idea - Some suggestions on the new version: - Maybe a coloured blob for status, as opposed to coloured txt - Hard to read on the light row colour. Maybe showing more details of the gamer's card. Maybe on get info? A minimised window launch option, with online friends on the dock popup menu. Preferred friends growl alert. When specific friends come online..? |

The poster below was correct - I got my upgrade for £32, instead of £60-70. That's more like it. Got the extra 10% discount by waiting on the cart page. DL'ing now. :) |

For those with serial number problems, there's a link from the download page that allows you to generate a valid CS3 serial in exchange for a valid CS2 one...HTH |

Fair comment - I was forgetting that you do reproduce the file placeholders without content - I was originally only talking about folder structure. That is a cool feature, no doubt. Going back to my original comment however, I did say it looked interesting, etc. I still stand by that - I still also think it's too expensive - YMMV. Cheers. |

I understand your point of view and it's appreciated, but when you consider that something like Path Finder can generate (basic admittedly, but more varied) similar reports among a huge feature set - all for $39 - It does makes your product seem expensive. Using YummyFTP, I can do pretty much the same thing using filters - and that comes with an excellent full featured FTP client. The best on the Mac. That's $25. $5 or $10 feels more like the price level for this app - Purely IMO of course! :) |

Seems like a nice idea - initially stating: 'Designed to be a replacement for preview' - but then at the end, the author warns 'Not designed to be a complete replacement...'?? |

Wow! I like this... As much as I like Vienna, I found it sluggish on the PB I use most of the time, so I'd been looking elsewhere. This is fast, has a great GUI and a fair price. I forgot I had a couple of weeks to trial it and paid for it within a couple of hours. Hmmm, must be some subliminal purchase requests in there...LOL |

Looks a great little app, but unfortunately seems to be suffering from a bug on my machine: The drawer tab on the side of the screen seems to disappear at random, even though the task is still active. Sp, I'm unable to activate it... The worst thing is, I only ever find this out when I need it, so alas...it's now zapped!! Fix this bug and I'll try it again. Looks useful... |

Amberv, what are you on about?!? Learn to read AND understand, before assuming other people's motives... I enjoy the rapid beta release cycle that this developer chooses and registered 18 months ago. In the face of the higher profile OO3, this product is more than capable of competing against it. Alas, in perpetual beta, many people may not give it a chance and may find the versioning confusing, meaning lost sales. Case closed. |

$400 for the client version, $4000 PER CPU for the server version. Ouch! That's a lot of money... Dinosaur or not, that's a lot of money for something that appears to be updated on a glacial basis... |

Easily the best FTP client for the Mac. Very configurable, applescriptable and uses all the standard Mac UI conventions. It also supports droplets and upload automation. I now have to do a lot of FTP transactions for my work and find it indespensable. The developer is responsive and even added a couple of my feature requests within a couple of days. It's rare I have this much praise for a product, but here it's deserved. Highly recommended!! |

Cool little widget - it's got a small bug where labelled items show missing image icons (fixed by selecting no label), but apart from that, could be quite useful. I'll give it a go. The price is useful too. Many thanks for the hard work! :) |

I have to agree with comments below. If the product is stable, then declare it 1.1 final and then move on. There are a lot of people that won't touch a beta version - You're probably losing a lot of potential customers. |
