IRRADIATED SOFTWARE  Your review is fairly narrow sighted. By the developer doing a beta program, they can get critical feedback to shape the product into something the customers desire. It also shows that this product is under active development, so your purchase will not go toward an abandon piece of software. Good software takes a long time to write, especially for small indie companies.

If you want stability, you can still buy and use the 1.x version which gives you a free license to 2.0 when it releases. Even 1.x is more capable than most other competitors in this market, but it's also more expensive.

Just my 2 cents.

IRRADIATED SOFTWARE  No problem, launch Terminal.app and paste this text exactly as it appears:

defaults write com.irradiatedsoftware.TwoUp HideMenu -bool YES

Then press Enter (return) to execute the command. You won't get any feedback to know if this worked correctly. Then you need to quit and restart TwoUp. If you still see the menu bar icon, you know the Terminal command didn't work. Let me know how it goes (or contact me directly via my support page)

IRRADIATED SOFTWARE  I have a hidden preference to disable the menu bar icon, see the topic here:

IRRADIATED SOFTWARE  I really enjoy having History Hound at hand. I end up using it a dozen times a week just to find some page I hit but didn't bookmark. The tool integrates so well with my workflow that I don't even think about it until right when I need it, which is perfect.

With the flexible indexing I have History Hound can search archives of NetNewsWire, and even your own webpages, etc (if you're a web developer, this can be nice for finding a snippet you put into a site, etc).

IRRADIATED SOFTWARE  I simply don't see why $25 is considered too much for a tool like this. It saves time (if you gave multiple accounts or do a lot attachments regularly), the developer is prompt to respond to issues, the app is pretty and well done (even though I know it's just a wrapper around Fluid).

Bottom line, if you need it, you'll know it, and gladly pay the $25. If you don't need it, you'll know it, but don't make this an issue on price. Developers have to eat too you know...

HARRISTYPE  I completely agree. Finally a review that doesn't take cheap potshots at those who simply didn't like it. Every app under the sun has its supporters and detractors. I was an original beta tester, and unfortunately it wasn't for me. For what it did, I thought it was too expensive, but for others, I can see it be an invaluable app. The only reason I got involved with this discussion was because of the childish behavior of another reviewer and his insults just because some of us didn't like the app, or didn't agree with him. Kudos to the developer for his continued updates, and maybe someday, when it has the features I need, I'll take another look. It was never because I couldn't afford it.

ANONYMOUS  Thanks for your review!

One thing: Mailplane isn't based on Fluid or related to Fluid. Mailplane's executable file name needed to be renamed because of a Gmail video chat incompatibly.

CORPSECORPS  But $25 for software that makes use of a web mail service?

Plus Apple mail can use that storage space via POP3 or even IMAP for $0.

IRRADIATED SOFTWARE  Just wonderful! The developer is very responsive to suggestions and I'm simply delighted to see them appear in this new version of Zooom!

Magnetics work great and help me to maximize the use of my tinny 12" PB display. I simply love it!
