INTELLECT INSIDE What's in a name? The "TH" in the name stands for Texas Hold'em. That's the only poker game this apps plays. Just a heads up for everyone, since I didn't see any mention of Texas Hold'em in the description. (Version 0.7b2)

INTELLECT INSIDE The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly... The Good: free, cool, easy to use The Bad: persistent background app installed I have to give this a big thumbs-down for The Bad. I can tolerate a free app as cool as this freezing on me sometimes. I can't tolerate the Updater nonsense. Way to kill the buzz, Google. (Version 5.0.11337.1968 )

INTELLECT INSIDE Sloppy packaging! Downloaded it, opened disk image, double-clicked installer, and... Same thing when I try to read the Read Me file. These are actually just scripts that are calling files by the wrong names, and thus don't work. I had to use Houdini to find out the name of the .mpkg file so I could find it with EasyFind and launch it from there. What a chore. (Version 1.5)

I'm the guy in charge of the Mac packaging, we released a silent bugfix that *should* fix this problem. (Scripts failed under 10.4 for some reason.) http://neverball.org/download.php Hope you get it running okay! (Version 1.5)

Just a thought: Bones allows you to set the number of dice in each pool independently. Check out Bones if you need that kind of configurability. (Version 1.0)

Bad DMG. After clicking the "accept" button, the DMG didn't open. Had to go to Activity Monitor and force quit disk image helper app. Not cool... (Version 9.26)

I was so happy when the wind reading was changed to show the direction the wind is blowing, and not the source. Now it's been changed back. Why? I've always hated meteorologists for saying "northwest wind" when the wind is blowing to the southeast. Please, set up an option in the preferences that will let us choose which way we want the wind to be represented. Please... (Version 2.4.6)

Playability should be rated at 3, not 5 stars. The non-randomness issue makes it very difficult to play successfully. It's actually worse than older versions. One would think it would be getting better. (Version 3.5.1)

INTELLECT INSIDE It could be better... Quinn does not do well at randomizing pieces. It will kick out six or seven identical pieces in a row, quite frequently too. It will also hold back on delivering exactly the piece you need to get yourself out of a jam. It's as if it's been programmed to analyse what you're trying to do, and deliberately throw you a monkey wrench. I'd like to see it throw deliver pieces randomly. Maybe the developer tried to make it random, but it isn't: it defies the odds far too often. A minor complaint: I would like to be able to assign PAUSE to a single key of my choice. Command-B is too complicated, especially on high (read: fast) levels. (Version 3.5.1)

J.W. Have you calculated the odds? I'd be surprised if this were true. Even in a random sequence, you're bound to have chains of repeated elements. And it's pretty easy to imagine that the odds are "against" you, when they're really just random (at least, as random as a computer can get). I mean, it's possible that he's got some algorithm to calculate the piece you need and avoid giving it to you, but it seems unlikely. (Version 3.5.2)

J.W. Also, you can assign another shortcut to Pause using System Preferences > Keyboard & Mouse > Keyboard Shortcuts. (Version 3.5.2)

SCRABBLE_CZAR Quinn's random generator is as random as it can be. It uses a popular equation which is referenced in the simonhaertel.de forum, and is very well done. You may get multiples of the same pieces at times, but that is the product of the game being more random, not less random. If you play a long game, it will average out, and the piece distribution can be found by using the console. The Help section on the quinn site and in the app itself detail just how to check the distribution of pieces. Quinn is awesome!! The best game of its kind anywhere for any platform! Paintbrush | Jul 19 2007 |
It's a simple paint app, not a photo editor. And it's not even version 1.0 yet. And it's free. Give the developer a break. (Version 0.8)

Shiira | Apr 25 2007 |
Keep your old version of Shiira for now. The new version is buggy and not feature-complete. One thing it's missing, which was immediately noticable, is the old version's ability to scale large images to fit the window. This is especially needed in the new Shiira with its huge thumbnail tabs dock. I'll be using old Shiira for now... (Version 2.0)

INTELLECT INSIDE The volume slider ties into system volume, instead of only affecting SWF-MP. This is... BAD PROGRAMMING PRACTICE!!! Give the app its own independent volume control, or don't give it a volume slider at all. The system volume should never be affected by an app's volume controls. (Version 1.3)

DIGITALMAX That's odd. And I know why. That's not version 1.0.1. MacUpdate listed a beta version of 1.0.1. Go to our Web site mcsebi.com to get the real version 1.0.1. I'll advise MacUpdate to change the listing right away. (Version 1.0.1)

ELTIMA SUPPORT We couldn't reproduce your problem however, have tested a lots of SWF files. The possible fix of the problem is the following: enable "Automatically play files added to Playlist" option and disable all options in "Go to next Playlist item if" section. If this doesn't help, please, send SWF file in question to our support team and specify all options you have set in "Preferences" dialog that lead to the described problem. Thanks for the cooperation. (Version 1.1)
