IMPERIALFLOW  I've only been using this for a couple of days for a project requiring me to do some renovation on a MySQL database backing a Symfony project.

So far I'm very impressed. It's been stable, responsive, and mostly feature complete.

There are a couple key things missing that I hope are added shortly. A way to define the data-engine type (MyISAM is typically default, but InnoDB is what you typically have to use if you want proper normalization and constraints) on newly created tables, and I'd prefer delayed commits when new tables are created. Currently a table gets created with a default 'id' column, and subsequent elements are added through ALTER statements.

Still, overall it's an excellent tool. I'll continue evaluating it throughout the month.

Only other things I could possibly ask for based on what I've seen so far is contextual menu support for the catalogs and tables in the sources pane on the left, and PostgreSQL support would be a huge plus. I'd much rather see more effort put into supporting Postgres than MySQL 4, I very rarely encounter applications anymore as a consultant that run on MySQL 4. The lack of enforceable foreign key constrains has pushed almost everything to MySQL 5 using the InnoDB engine.

IMPERIALFLOW  This is a great Subversion client.

Very easy to use, great repository browsing. I had high hopes for SCPlugin to bring TortoiseSVN to the Mac, but its slow pace of development lead me to find an alternative.

It may not be integrated into the Finder, but Versions is an extremely quality program for managing source-control.

IMPERIALFLOW  There are a lot of comments about how easy this software is to use, and I can only believe that that must be for an older version.

I recently tried v1.4 to simply give me a nice interface for starting and stopping some SSH tunnels to a few servers I need to access.

The setup for this is so complicated I can't begin to understand the rhyme or reason. After an hour of just trying to get one tunnel working following the documentation at the developer's website I gave up.

The interface is crowded, the "Profile" and "Service" mechanism couldn't be more counter-intuitive, and once you get it all setup you can't even change the hostname of the "source" location to anything that makes sense... you know... like "localhost"

Anyway. I gave up. It was MUCH easier to download the old source code of "SSH Tunnel Manager" and build myself a Universal Binary than it was to get AlmostVPN to do a basic SSH tunnel.

AlmostVPN needs an AlmostVPN Lite for those people who are just looking for a tunnel manager.

I'm giving it 2 stars because, while it didn't crash on me, it couldn't achieve what I wanted in any kind of intuitive manner.
