ITT  maybe it might be a good idea to include a realtime list message that displays the system's response to each individual shredding. It might take sometime...and there is the time delay issue. Another option is to make a log file that can be accessed by the user, which may display the above mentioned messages. thanks

ITT  Yes, the items are "destroyed" forever.. You can perform a simple test yourself, erase a file from an iPod or any external drive, and then simply plug the drive into a Windows machine. If you see (.thenameofyourfile) then the name has not been erased. if you dont have access to a PC, use the "show hidden files" Thanks to everyone.
