JarInspector
Nov 22 2009

IT2BE  I am still not able to run JarInspector on Snow Leopard.

It immediately fails after starting it (see below).

Any news or suggestion?

SharewarePublisher
Nov 5 2009
****.

IT2BE  I only use SharewarePublisher for a couple of days now but this is one of those applications that made my life a little easier/nicer.

Using SharewarePublisher makes the workflow of a new release a little less stressful and a lot easier :)

And, the developer is very very responsive.

Love it!

The only disadvantage (when you can call it a disadvantage) is that you have to get to learn how to use it...

IT2BE  I have said it before but this is hands down my most frequently used application.

I realized this when I started using my iPhone 3G last week.

Although the bookmarks work well I am really looking forward to the iPhone app.

IT2BE  Nice looking application but 100% obsolete.

I can not imagine that there is anybody out there that needs this.

$29,95.

Way too much for user value.

Little for what the developer put into it.

SMTIPS  "Even after removing all elements I found."

Why did you go "looking" for items to remove instead of installing per the instructions?

IT2BE  I have bought this software to replace SplashData.

Since I installed it I use it several times per day and feel confident that I have everything at hand.

Very very good software and very easy to use.

I only miss one thing.

I would like to have more categories and, preferred, a way to create my own categories.

Keep up the good work!!!!

DTEARE  More Wallet categories as well as full customization abilities is on our short list of planned improvements.

Like I was just telling the previous poster, however, the past 3 months has been grueling and we're taking some time off to recharge.

It might take a while but it is on our radar :)

Cheers!

SJK  SplashID Desktop languished too long on OS X. Even though v4 was announced last July (but remains unavailable even though the press release claims "later in 2007").

Unfortunately, with ~700 records in my SID database a full transition to 1P is impractical without field mappings during import being better preserved automatically. The SID categories to 1P Wallet types are a lesser issue. And SID for Palm OS is a superior reader (I don't need to modify entries on my TX). Being able to export a CSV from 1P that could import reasonably well with SID Desktop then synch with the TX might be an acceptable workaround even with that SID dependency.

Depending on how it's implemented with OS X browsers, one feature in SID 4 Desktop that could give 1P some competition:

• Web Auto-Fill, simplifying data entry of user names and passwords in SplashID by using a web browser to go directly to a site and retrieving the username and password to auto-fill in the record.

However, I haven't noticed any SID support for the iPhone which is one of 1P's strengths.

Anyway, this reply is already too long and any serious discussion belongs on the AWS forum.
