GlimmerBlocker	Jun 15 2009	IMAGE_CTRL Glimmer Blocker will do quite a number on Safari if it's uninstalled incorrectly (and by "incorrectly" i mean intuitively, the way you would assume software should be uninstalled). I am currently going thru the unfortunate process of removing Glimmer Blocker properly so that Safari works again. i am at least a bit thankful the developers post a guide on how to do this. I do not recommend this software. If you want to block Flash, use ClickToFlash, which is a proper WebKit plugin that doesn't mess with your network or system files. (Version 1.3.5)		-5

ROBOTANK It's really not that big of a deal. All you have to do is deactivate GlimmerBlocker before you uninstall it. I would think that should be obvious enough to most knowledgeable users anyway, since GB works as an http proxy and therefore changes network settings. In any case, the painful process is no worse than reinstalling, deactivating, and re-uninstalling GB, which should take no more than a few minutes at worst.

Also, ClickToFlash, while a great plug-in in its own right, is not an alternative to GB, as it blocks Flash only, while GB is an ad blocker.

MAMP	Feb 11 2009	IMAGE_CTRL Since the past year i've been using XAMPP and while both will do pretty much the same thing, I just find the look and feel of MAMP to be a touch smarter. The dashboard widget for server access is great. thank you very much MAMP Team. (Version 1.7.2)		+1

ELOVEZ please help me how to connect to mysql. this is the old script i used by PHPTRIAD on windows, but its didnt work in MAC with MAMP

GREGORGY This is not a support forum but I think you may need to target the port or set MAMP to use the defaults.

DMG Canvas	Dec 4 2008	IMAGE_CTRL DMG Canvas is amazing. I'm surprised the developer is offering it for free (with $15 donation suggestion) since it's stronger and more user friendly than any of the other paid apps. however, i did find a problem with the app, which i don't hold against the developer because it's freeware, and because i'm sure it will be sorted eventually. the problem is with the "Internet Enabled" option. if this option is unchecked, it works as it should locally and does not automatically copy contents of the DMG into the downloads folder. however, when the same .DMG is placed on a server and downloaded with Safari, it will copy contents automatically. Transmit	Nov 18 2008	IMAGE_CTRL Transmit is a reliable workhorse. I have been using it for years and have not once had an issue with the software. Other FTP clients i have used seemed bulky and non intuitive, so i was very happy when i learned about Transmit. Highly recommended. (Version 3.6.6)		+6
