Funny - I've got the same problem as whit_g with 0,7b4 and Safari 3.1.1 under 10.4.11 on an Intel machine. Safari launches but no window loads, and Command-N does nothing. Opening a new tab forces a new window to come up with a strangly distorted Bookmarks icon, and clicking that icon OR opening a URL in the new tab makes Safari crash, as does an attempt to activate the "first" tab in the row.

WebKit nightlies open a new window at launch, new tab works too. Opening a URL in the native window works, in a new tab the same action causes WebKit to crash, too.

A new install of Safari 3.1.1 (even through Pacifist with the option of replacing everything) doesn't help.

Removing the AcidSearch bundle from the SIMBL->Plugins folder restores Safari and WebKit action to normal, every time.

However, the same combination works flawlessly on a PB 1,5 GHz 15'', as well as under Leopard 10.5.3 on a 1st gen Mac Pro.

Version 1.0.1 has been released today, and I'm certain that the developer does everything possible to straighten out any bugs, but it still crashes EyeTV. Again, I had to eradicate Hear from my system to bring EyeTV back to life.

Well, there's always hope...

Yes - the control windows of the two apps look very much alike - the option buttons have been moved around a bit, and Hear's got a much prettier face, though.

Wonder ifr there'll be an "upgrade" options for current users of OSS 3D.

Readiris 11.5.16 (not .5.6) has been released.

I had to contact the company by email to get the update, as the built-in updater doesn't work properly beyond 11.0.3 itself in my own experience.

After I mailed in the receipt for the original purchase, I was sent a download link for the newest version for FREE within 1 hour. Good service!

No clue of what exactly is new in 11.5.16, though.

Sometimes, the song will start playing but iTunes the quits after a few seconds. Or, starting a song by double-clicking it crashes iTunes after launch, but selecting the song and then clicking the Play button does not (the song starts playing). Bringing the iWOW window to the front while a song is playing makes iTunes quit, as long as text in the Preset menu looks normal.

In a few rare cases, everything was quite normal right from launch, i.e. no crashes despite normal text in the iWOW window.

When the abnormal text starts to show, clicking on "About" and "help" (still iWOW) corrupts the word that just got clicked on, too. Weird.

icon
Type: Troubleshooting
Date: 1 Apr 2007 11:16

I still got that "garbled menu text" issue in iWOW 1.1.8 (and 1.1.6 before) - but only on my Mac Pro (10.4.9 w/all patches, only haxie is Instant Hijack Server by Rogue Amoeba which should not interfere with either iTunes or iWOW).

My MacMini Intel (same software constellation) shows no such problem.

After a few seconds, the text in the Preset menu becomes unreadable, because all characters appear on top of each other. Not only that, but iTunes quits unexpectedly when launching a song, but ONLY until the garbled text synptom in iWOW manifests itself (after that, iTunes regains its stability).

I ran every possible check'n'repair utility, even reinstalled the 10.4.9 Combo update, nothing helps. Anybody else out there...?
