JCDS  I had the same problem and on Little Snitch Forum, I found the solution. Little Snitch 2.0.4 (build 385) is broken and it is recommended to download Little Snitch (build 387) and install it.

That solves the problem with GB.

HAL2007  Okay, I just did some reading on their forums. Camino 1.5 is incompatible to all versions of 1Passwd prior to 2.4.2. So upgrade to that version, or deactivate the 1Passwd plug-in for Camino in the 1Passwd prefs. I just tried and it works.

This is, however, not a totally satisfying solution.

CFLAWSON  I'm not quite sure what's "unsatisfying" about this solution. The 1passwd developers specifically told everyone about this problem a while back, and it's not the fault of Camino's developers that third-party add-ons have bugs.

HAL2007  This app has been hyped beyond belief. The result is a gorgeous looking burn app which is nice and it works, but seriously lacks important features, that its competitor Toast Titanium has.

The dev team has to put some more work in this app until Disco can "have Toast for breakfast"...

And when that time comes, I'm thinking about buying it.

HAL2007  I really don't know how an email would help in this case. I guess you guys need some kind of log or crash report.

I repeated the process, but surprise - it didn't happen again. CPU didn't show real peaks, so no problem at all.

Another minor bug: The log window has no close button. Hitting Command-L again has no effect.

All in all a great app, more functions than AppZapper. Keep up the great work!

HAL2007  I like this new version. It looks nice, has an easy to use yet pretty simple interface.

However, it seems to have a HUGE memory leak. It consumes ALL available memory so I can't even get to the dock any more! Once Burn again is nuked (forced quit), everything is normal again after a few minutes of system re-orientation. This should be fixed.

Apart from that, it's a nice and very good app. It breathes Apple's design philosophy. Heads up!

FREERIDECODING  I really appreciate any feedback, but it would be helpful if you could post it to the freeridecoding support address as well or use the online feedback form. It is impossible to check any online listing for possible bugreports.

Having that said, memory consumtion is something that actually received distinct testing and i am not aware of any problem on the 10.3 or 10.4 systems tested, nor did i receive any such reports from users.

It would be great if you could elaborate what you mean precisely. (How do you know about memory consumption? During one or several burns? Even before that? What system? Could it be that you just have not enough space left on your macosx partition to create the image for the files to burn?)

thanks and kind regards

HAL2007  Same as usual from Quark. Frequently crashes for no reason. Or is it wrong to move my palettes around the screen, as this causes Quark to crash? Puts then up a nasty bug report dialogue and places the last saved document in a "rescue" folder, while the old unaltered document stays where it was? Confusing, unreliable and uninspired. InDesign CS2 is still LIGHTYEARS ahead. Avoid at all cost.

BlueHarvest
May 22 2006

HAL2007  You're right. Those files hold information about window placement, labels on files and the way window content is displayed (list, icon, columns).

Blue Harvest is mainly adressed to people that have windows servers. Windows people are often annoyed by those .DS_Store files that Mac OS X spreads everywhere. And on a windows server, you can't make real use of those settings anyhow. So why not force the system to simply not generate those invisble files on certain locations?

However, there are tools that do that for no money (Onyx, TinkerTool, and possibly more).

Blue Harvest gives more control about that, but this costs you extra.

HAL2007  Yojimbo looks very promising, but has yet to get mature to compete against StickyBrain (my favorite) or DevonThink Pro. Yojimbo's basic set of features however is fine. The learning curve is flat and storing and encrypting information works flawless. It's unability to create subfolders is the biggest letdown. I'd also like to drop images on its drawer, but Yojimbo only allows .rtfd's with embedded images.

Yojimbo is evolving. I'll keep my eyes on it.
