PithHelmet
May 28 2008

GYPSYMOTH  I'd like to configure PithHelmet to accept cookies from web sites but remove them when quitting Safari, something that can be easily done in iCab or Opera, for example.

I've set default site rules' cookie policy to either "use Safari cookie policy" or "allow only from the current site" as well as "discard when application quits" but cookies still remain after closing Safari.

I've even tried setting the above cookie policy for sites on an individual basis, but the cookies still remain after closing Safari.

Can PithHelmet, in fact, be configured to do the above, or not? Of so, how? Am I missing something?

I emailed the developer with this question but he did not reply.

SYHARRIS  That's a question that I, too, would like answered. The developer seems quite unresponsive.

Lotto Sorcerer
May 12 2008

GYPSYMOTH  Of those who have used this app to come up with winning lotto numbers, how many have won the big money? I'd say none. How many have won any money? I'd say few.

Those who think Lotto Sorcerer, or any other "system", will give them an edge when playing the lottery are living in a dream world.

There is no successful system out there. It's all pure chance.

The only one who stands to gain financially from Lotto Sorcerer is the developer....when anyone pays the $35 for it.

GYPSYMOTH  Very bare bones yet it's still rather cumbersome to use. Not at all intuitive. No description of how it's puzzling features work.

After invoking one entry already saved, I then clicked on "new entry" but it didn't come up. Had to then close Tagebuck and then reopen to make "new entry" useable.

"Tag" feature doesn't seem to work. No password protection or encryption offered, which is a must for any diary as far as I'm concerned.

In disgust, I trashed this thing. Uggghhh!!!

Ok, so it's free...so what! I think that Tagebuch is ill conceived and ridiculous. I'd say that the developer is a rank amateur with limited talent.

**...

GYPSYMOTH  "Fun"? Not really. "Addictive"? Oh, please, gimme a break!

It's about as fun and addictive as a bowl of cold, gloppy oatmeal. It really doesn't have much going for it. I found it a big yawn.

20 bucks for this???!!!! It really should be freeware, but there are free games available that put this one to shame.

Sorry developer, but it's back to the drawing board for you.
