before buying a divx player be sure to check the codec compatibility list, it MUST have support for AVIs using divx3/4/5 and xvid compression. And good players have all these codecs plus some other formats/codecs, mp4, H264, ogm, mkv and so on...

Mine is about 50 bucks and plays everything, even H264+AAC compressed mp4.

DIVX codec is less and less used so your player will actually play only 50% of available AVIs on the internet, trash your reader, it's vintage now (or update it if you can, some divx readers like Kiss readers can easily be updated using USB or Ethernet, the best choose, it prevents you from changing your divx player every year !).

BTW D-Vision (an excellent freeware available on macupdate) allows you to choose between divx3/4, xvid and H264.

Hope you good all your answers.

Good luck ;-)

i've been using this program since its debuts (i bought it) and it's a good piece of work ! BTW i got problems since the 2.9.2 when importing from dvdfr.com, it doesn't parse bonuses, so actually i no longer can insert my new DVDs, a bit annoying :(

I give it 5 stars cause in about 4 years it's the first *important* bug i've detected.

Good luck JLR !

PS: why not creating a MySQL export module, it would be damn hot for developers like me to put online and dynamically manage my online DVDTheque.

I've tried parsing the XML file but it's a lot of work and it's damn slow, i actually publish my DVDTheque by opening the html files and parse them with some str_replace to enable really hot features :-)

Go take a look ! http://www.gui-book.com/dvdtheque/index.php

(still some cosmetic to do but it's actually REALLY usable ;-)

yeah great solution, but why ppl continue to use Stuffit, it's useless compared to all the free solutions: the unarchiver, the builtin zip compression on OSX, SimplyRAR, UnRARx and so on...

quicktime 7.4 (no i don't have done the 7.4.1 update), leopard 10.5.1, perian 1.1, and nothing works now, quicktime crashes everytime i launch a perian file (ie xvid, mkv...) but divx files work because i got divx pro installed.

1.0 rules

1.1 ? errrrh... crap :-(

pretty cool program but it lacks a lot of features available in other IMs, like video conferencing and so on... Take a took at Mercury or AMSN, they're full of functions ! BTW the Adium 2 release should have all these features implemented, i'll wait and see...

Really poor app! I can't understand why it has been made for... BTW someone should mail the author about a program called "itunes", done by an obscur company called "Apple". Everyone should visit the author's homepage, there are bunch of useless programs like this one, always shareware...
