GRANTNEUFELD I consider this tool essential for my workstation. I use it for things like tracking my hours while contracting (I don't really need one of those fancy time-tracking applications). I also drop in interesting snippets (like books, bands, movies to check out) while reading stuff on the web. It's also handy for those doing the "Getting Things Done" (GTD) style of personal time management. A very convenient spot for all of those lists. Personally, I don't bother with the mouse-based activation. I set it to open/close using the F16 key, and checked the "Open only with hotkeys" and "Close only with hotkeys" checkboxes in the preferences. That way, it never accidently pops up. Having the option to set a hot-corner (like Exposé and the Screensaver) instead of along the side of the monitor might get me to use mouse activation again. (Version 1.7) |
