GMAILSTATUS  Make sure that you are really using 1.0.7 which fixes excactly what you describe.

CARSTEN GUENTHER  I am looking into that. Only a few people have reported crashes and I cannot reproduce them myself. In the meantime feel free to download the previous version (0.9) from my homepage.

CARSTEN GUENTHER  Hi, I am the developer of GmailStatus. GmailStatus does not edit any preferences of any applications, including Safari. It does absolutely nothing "dirty" and I have no explanation of what happened in your case.
