GLIDER.QIM.ID3MOD  The new feature is : Access iTunes Library inside ID3Mod, so you do not need to export the library XML anymore.

And the new version fix the memory bug so it won't crash when load over 500 songs.

GLIDER.QIM.ID3MOD  The new version of ID3Mod will be released soon. It will integerate with iTunes and it can load up to 2000 songs a time now.

I'm just waiting for my intel based Mac, maybe I should release a PPC version first, and UB version later.

GLIDER  I got some reports that the ID3Mod won't work on OSX 10.3.8.

OSX10.3.8 updated an API in Cocoa, which will make ID3Mod ignore the mp3 files. I made some adjustment so ID3Mod will work on both new and old system.

But www.sinomac.com is busy with their new XServe machine. So, I have to wait until they finished their works to upload the new ID3Mod.

GLIDER  Er~~~~~,Actually , iTunes can only read CJK(or any other multi-bytes encodings ) languages with UNICODE encoding. But most MP3 files on the internet encoded CJK with GBK(or others) encodings not Unicode, when you import them into iTurns, iTunes display a mess tag information.

ID3Mod can convert these encodings to Unicode , so iTunes will display correctly.

GLIDER  iTunes use Unicode encoded Id3 tags, but windows xp doesn't support it. So if you use ID3Mod convert these mp3 files , you can't display correctly on you Windows box.

GLIDER  For most mp3 encoded with Chinese, 'GB_18030' does work well. But if it doesn't work. There maybe two reasons:

1. The tag information is not correctly encoded.

2. The information is damaged when encoded in tag.

You can switch your OSX's language to Sim-Chinese and transfer this mp3 into iTunes. Then right-click your mp3 and select "Convert ID3 tag...", choose "ASCII to ISO-Latin-1" option in "Translate text characters" Checkbox.

If iTunes can't display the TAG correctly then this mp3 files must bad encoded. If it works, there must be some BUGS in my software. Please mail your mp3 to glider@sinomac.com. Thanks.
