GIOVANNI LANZANI This is just an amazing little piece of software, I thought the only way to go with this thing was datathief, which is an ugly, slow, buggy, expensive piece of software, but then I stumbled upon GraphClick. If you need to take data from plots, go for it. The only minus is that it doesn't state clearly the limitations of the shareware version, so when you find them out, you have to buy it, because it is extremely well done. (Version 3.0)

GIOVANNI LANZANI This version works with Snow Leopard, while the previous 1.74b1 didn't. Great work guys. I wonder what's on the roadmap for future versions..download at a speed higher than what my provider offers me? (Version 1.74)

GIOVANNI LANZANI It's really great, however if a display the output of top -ocpu -FR -l2 -n20 | grep '^....[1234567890] ' | grep -v ' 0.0% ..:' | cut -c 1-24,33-42,64-77 it doens't justify it, even if the terminal does (this holds also if I put the above inside a script). (Version 3.0 RC1)

SASASUSHI What font are you using. I'm using the same command and it justifies for me using the Monaco font. (Version 3.0 RC1)

Pomodoro Desktop | Jul 28 2009 |
GIOVANNI LANZANI Great! The new icons look much better than before! I would also appreciate an option to hide the seconds, or to have a rough indicator of what is left (like the icon for the battery)! For example you could have a pomodoro which colors itself continuosly with time, instead of having the exact amount left. (Version 0.25)

GIOVANNI LANZANI I would really love it, that would make glims the ONLY safari extension needed (at least for me)..now I also need SafariBlock (Version 1.0b19)

GIOVANNI LANZANI Well, if that also doesn't work, it's something else from what I'm experiencing. What I mean is when you type keyword (google, or wikipedia or whatever) + string to search in the address bar, as a shortcut to search in google wikipedia or whatever. (Version 1.0b17)

STEVEN GOODHEART If you mean one can no longer choose the Search Engine you specified in the Glims Search Engine preferences, yes, I have the same problem too. By the way, I found with this version of Glims that Safari uses whatever is at the top of the Glims search engine list -- found that out after moving Wikipedia to the top of the Glims search list, and then quitting Safari. When I came back, all the searches I did in Safari's toolbar were all for Wikipedia..the only way I could change it back to Google was to move Google search back to the top of the Glims search list, and then restart. I hope this gets fixed soon -- and that it's fixable. It's great being able to specify the search engine one wants to use. (Version 1.0b17)

STEVEN GOODHEART Yes, that also doesn't work for me.....I sent a message to the Glim team about all of this, and they are working on it....no time frame yet for a fix...apparently, it's non-trivial.....interestingly, I am finding that Inquisitor works just fine with the final release.

RBUGAJEWSKI If you use Keywurl in addition to Glims, keyword search will work again - even with Safari 4 Final. (Version 1.0b18)

GIOVANNI LANZANI I'm really impressed by the ability of this little program, especially with the tight integration with Address Book. However there is a little problem with Google Maps Integration. In fact, if you import some data from Address Book, and the application cannot geoencode it, then I have the following issue: I click on the added item, coordinates are 0.000 0.000, and it brings me in the middle of the sea. If I try to zoom out (to see also some land), the map doesn't react, and I can't, this way, insert manually the location. It would be nice to have it fixed. (Version 1.2.2)

GIOVANNI LANZANI It seems very nice but it needs some sort of autocompletion feature, otherwise it will be a real pain to write with it. Right now I'm using Aquamacs + AucTeX + Skim, which is a nice trio, but I'm still not 100% convinced of Aquamacs because, despite its name, it doesn't feel so Aqua. But AucTeX power makes TeXshop simply ridiculous..so..if you would make an autocompletion system like AucTeX, you would have the best program around for writing TeX. But.. hey great work for a 1.0.0.1 (Version 1.0.0.1)

ANONYMOUS Thank you for the comment. Autocompletion is definitely on the to-do list. Right now the main thin is to ensure that what you write in the program is actually what ends up in the saved file, and that the basic functionality works as it should. I have a lot on the drawing board for future releases =) (Version 1.0.0.1)

PANAYOTIS Well, there *is* auto-completion, for free, since you are using the standard aqua widgets. Just press Escape and completion is here! It might not work at it's best, in the beginning, but it's able to learn! (Version 1.0b9)

PEN_SQ The source is kept in version control, you can browse the latest version at http://videomonkey.svn.sourceforge.net/. Click on the "D/L GNU tarball" link to just grab the whole lot. If you want the source for that specific release, then you have to install macports and svn. (Version 0.1)

GIOVANNI LANZANI This is great. No dedicated windows, just growl. It doesn't distract you unless someone is twittering you. I wish I could set up the time interval for the update. Right now is 90''. I recommend this to any mac os x twitter user. (Version 1.0b4)

GIOVANNI LANZANI Ok, I've used it for 5 minutes and.. It's very fast, clean, nice to use, I love this bookmarks bar idea and it hasn't crashed so far. I'm very impressed and looking forward for future release. I'll stay with safari, because it has some feature (1password, glims, safariblock (ok, they're not a feature, they're add-ons)) that I need, but if in the future Stainless will implement I'll definetly switch. WHYTOI Yep, Safari 4.0b1 would just crash out with Glim in the Input Manager folder. We need an update. (Version 1.0b12)

AESCHYLUS Just adding my voice to a request for Safari 4 compatibility. I know there are lots of UI changes that might have to be accommodated, but there are a number of Glims features I would really hate to lose: Opening all previously opened tabs, the Favicons in the tabs, choosing where the new tab opens, etc. Even the Google search was nicer. Here's hoping for an update. (Version 1.0b12)

Glims | Feb 24 2009 |
MACHANGOUT Hopefully we will push out build 13 tomorrow which fixes the issue with Safari 4. We already added it to our site but want to wait a few hours before pushing it to the update sites. For a software that is all out about its stability, we were really taken off guard by this one. (Version 1.0b12)

GIOVANNI LANZANI Really the best for Safari. With this new beta version, it seems that the speed improved a lot. I'm glad they worked on this, rather than inserting new features. (Version 1.0b12)
