GENERAL  Purchased this program after using Vienna for long time. It looks stunning, but it just doesn't feel right. It behaves very different from Vienna or NNW.

I really wanted to like it, but as I couldn't find any help, documentation, tips'n'tricks or any other piece of documentation I'll have to let go.

Too bad, little effort in writing some documentation could easily convince me to convert from Vienna.

GENERAL  Previous version kept asking me for password. This version fixed that issue, but still - if I want to create calendar entry from menu icon - web page displayed does not comply to my regional settings. I live in Europe and I wouldn't use calendar in which starts on Sunday.

If I create the event via Google Calenar - all is well, but if I invoke it from menu icon - it defaults to American settings. I'll stick with Gmail Notifier, still works for me :)

GENERAL  Since I completely moved to Mac I've been trying to find word processor that will work as smooth as MS Word does in Windows. Right now, I'm still juggling between Mellel (quick and usable, but ugly to my taste) and Nisus (some text rendering problems).

But Mariner has been the biggest disappointment by far - apart from looking so ugly (toolbars from OS 9?!) It doesn't even support standard OS way for switching keyboards. C'mon. And all of this before you type first words and realise that it can't properly render text. As I said Nisus has it's quirks, but Mariner doesn't look like Aqua application.

Does anyone checks for reviews that are posted on MacUpdate?

LARAINE  Does Word really work smoothly in Windows? The last decent version for Mac was Word 5.1. MS used to make very good software for Macintosh but after Word 5.1 they completely lost the plot. Word 6 still has to count as the worst software that was ever dumped on an unsuspecting and undeserving public. I've tried several versions of Word for Mac since but hated all of them. Great bloated things.
