GLW Belay that last comment!! After trying repeatedly, the disk image which wouldn't mount previously, now mounted. (It must have noticed that I had posted a comment ;-) . Go figure!) (Version 3.9.3)

GLW This program makes it very easy to download videos from YouTube. And because you can also view and search for videos within the program , there is no need to flip back and forth between YouTube and some download utility -- as soon as you find something you like, just click "Download" and the downloading starts quickly and smoothly. I have been using iTubeX Ultimate for some time as my downloader of choice, and until lately it worked flawlessly. Then something must have changed, because version 5.0 suddenly would not download ANYTHING for me. However, the developer got right onto the problem, and very shortly version 5.1 was released, correcting all the difficulties and adding other improvements as well. Five stars for customer service!! Well worth the modest investment! (Version 5.1)

GLW Is it just me, or does anyone else find three releases in one day to be just a tad excessive? If the program is that buggy, why not give it a thorough working over then release ONE update? It takes a lot of unnecessary bandwidth to download versions that are superseded before you even get a chance to install them! (Version 9.1.3)

KOINGO SOFTWARE Our apologies for the frequency of updates. We did put the program through rather extensive beta testing; however, some critical bugs slipped through 9.1.4 should be the last update for a while. Thank you for your understanding. (Version 9.1.3)

YES, that was the solution!! Thanks for that hint. I still think that's a funny way for an installer to work, though.... Usually they will just add the new version, or possibly do an automatic replacement of the old. (Version 5.2.2)

GLW I don't know if it is just me, but every time I try to install this, all I get is a zero-K "Classic Application" which, of course, does nothing. And there is so much "spoof file" garbage on the Gnutella network these days that it is almost impossible to find anything of value any more. So I'm finding LimeWire to be of less and less value. Before installing this new version of LimeWire did you delete everything associated with the previous version? Usually the 'Classic' error appears when a new version of LW detects an older version (or remnants of it) on a computer. (Version 5.2.2)

Glad that worked for you! I agree.......it is unusual in the way LimeWire acts. Like you, I'd expect LW to replace the previous version of its software with the new installation.

Like indicated here, I trashed all associated file, but unsuccessfuly: I obtain the right icons (coloured), but LimeWare don't starts... I never seen this: when You update a software, usually, all process is automatic.. Here I have to use 3 different softs to find all prefs, and other possible .plist and packages, for nothing... If I work with oldest version, a disturbing message flashes to force me to an update (if possible a payable upgrade!!!!) Definitely I forget this sh:t and seek about another, more intelligent and less brutal product!!! Maybe I could move to the paid version, but with this method, never! (Version 5.2.2)

GLW Thanks for responding so quickly! I ran the console as you suggested and the stopNumber was 256. (Before I entered the filter, Console also said that it exited with exit code 6, if that means anything significant.) The program quit so quickly that I did not get any windows opening, so I did not see Felix at all. BTW, my G4 iMac has 2GB of RAM

GLW I was hoping to try this out (since I have been accused of changing keys when I sing!!) but I found that the PPC implementation -- whether part of the Universal application or the PPC standalone -- begins loading, briefly starts to open a window, then suddenly quits.

ANONYMOUS Could you please start the console in Applications/utilities and then start ListeningSingingTeacher. After ListeningSingingTeacher has quit. Go into the console log and click reload. In the Filter field type "strange situation detected stopNumber=". Hopefully you find this message. (I should change the message to ListeningSingingTeacher ...). Could you please tell me the number? Unfortunately I do not have a G4 iMac. How much RAM do you have? Does he show the loading picture correctly with awalking thinking Felix at the bottom? If not it is probably a video card issue: Try the GeForce version. Thank you for trying the product and reporting an error situation. I hope to hear soon from you, maybe I can find a solution.

ANONYMOUS The errorcode 256 tells me that the BundlePath is too long. This means you try to start the application from a place where the total path to the application gets longer than 255 Characters (pascal normal Strings allow only 255 Characters). It is ok to move the application to another place, but the total pathlength should be less than 255 characters. Try to move the application on your home. You can also Rename the application to L instead of its normal name ListeningSingingTeacher (which alone uses 23 characters). Please let me know if this helps, or tell me what restricts you to stick with a long path?

ANONYMOUS Thank you for taking the time to send me the log. Unfortunately, there is no specific message from the application, which I could interpret. Since the start up of the application is crucial, I made a version, which sends more information to the console during the startup. With version 1.02 (only for PPC ( must be downloaded from the developer site, since I do not want to clutter the console log with debug message in the universal version) ) you should see the following messages during the start: listening singing teacher started listening singing teacher BundleResourcePath=/Applications/ListeningSingingTeacher.app/Contents/Resources/ AppDirectoryPath=/Applications/ listening singing teacher load esellerate ok listening singing teacher initopenAL ok listening singing teacher input capture device found listening singing teacher init openGL ok listening singing teacher openGL keyboard and mouse ok listening singing teacher application initialisation ok listening singing teacher entering main loop Could you please tell me the last message you still can see? From your log I can see that there is an access violation. If you do not use the installer to install the application, you must manually run the script in the installer. The script sets write permission for everyone for the score file and the lesson directories. This is necessary because several Users can use the application. To run the script manually, right click the installer icon in the mounted disk-image and select "Show Package Contents". and then: --> Contents --> Resources --> Installer Items --> SetWritepermissions.txt Copy the file to the same location where you have put the application. You must edit the script with TextEdit and delete the line which contains "cd $1" before running it in a Terminal Window. Before running the script you must navigate (cd) to the the directory where the application is. I have found one error, which crashes the application: If the input frequency in the Apple Utility "Audio Midi Setup" is not set to 44100 Hz the application will quit with a division by zero. I hope we can find the problem. Thank you. (Version 1.0)

GLW NeoOffice is a remarkable and feature-rich product and I was SO hoping to be able to make our computer officially "Microsoft-free" by the end of the year, but the Writer module quits unexpectedly every time I try to save my work. GORDON WEIR Sudoku has in fact been available on the Mac for TEN YEARS! The game SingleNumber (which, I have learned, is the English translation of Sudoku) was written by Yoshimitsu Kanai an 1995; the latest version is 1.1.8 (1996). To my thinking, SN still sets the benchmark for this type of game, notwithstanding that it is a Classic application (and is in fact just about the ONLY reason that we ever have to launch Classic!!) The more recent Sudoku applications tend to have rather cheesy-looking graphics, limited features compared to SN, and rather easy levels. SN is feature-rich and a joy to play. You can even print off the puzzles, and work them off-line. Dr. Kanai also did a version of SN for Palm, but he never did a port of SN to OSX. In recent years his web site has disappeared, and he seems to have vanished. My hope is that either he will reappear with an OSX version in hand, or that some skilled programmer will take up the gauntlet and create a port of SN for OSX. (Version 1.0)
