What is with the ugly new 'P' icon? For $45 a license I think you can do better than that. |

I was wondering if there is any documentation for this? I want to remove all my plug-ins and manage them with this but I don't understand how you install them into it. For example; Inquisitor has an installer which places it's items where they need to go, how do I make PlugSuit install it for me so it can manage it? |

I'm not sure what has happened in the past 2 updates but they seem to be getting progressively worse. A new bug has appear for me, if you log off for the night and start back up the next day Transmission forgets where it has left off and starts all over again. I hate to say it but I'm going to have to switch to azureus. |

I think this would be better if it had an install rather than manually dragging the files to the appropriate spot. If this was implemented you could have one installer for Tiger, Leopard, and which version of safari. |

Nice app to bad there are some bugs in it. When I click on friends and then try to see there photo albums, nothing shows up. If I try to see my other friends albums all I see is the person I just tried to click on? It does see albums in the all tab just not in the friends. I look forward to this when all the bugs are worked out. Good start, keep up the good work. smith4925 |

This is so much better than Twitterrific, more features with no crashes. I only have 3 recommendations; 1) if you set unread messages to show in the dock make zero not show up. 2) if you post a message and have the dock to show unread messages, make it so you can't see your own messages. 3) make the application appearance more attractive. Other than these things the application is perfect. |

I have to admit I am a fan of his applications, however $15.89 for a torrent program! I had bought Inquisitor and then later changed it to be free. I think this program should be free and he should charge for Inquisitor again. |

I can't believe they would actual charge for this. This should be a free update since the hardware came with the computer. I understand the cost is not much, but in principal this should not cost the consumer anything. |

This is the same product as MailUnreadStatusBar, except it doesn't have any of the features that MailUnreadStatusBar has. Unfortunately the programmer for MUSB doesn't make many updates to his products and it's not Universal. If you want to improve on your product you should check out the features, implemented and improve upon them. Like there is no option to turn off launching Mail if you launch MailUnreadStatusBar. Also the preferences are not that clear. Check out the features and make a better product. http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/14654 |

There are actually more new features, their just not mentioned here. Still though, the new features are minimal and would find it hard to pay for this upgrade unless your one of the lucky people who own a Intel Mac. Now lets talk about the new icon... what the hell were they thinking! Please hire a designer to make a proper icon if your going to change it, otherwise leave it alone! |

I'm a little confused, this is just a player right? There are at least a handful of applications that do the same thing but for free. VLC and MPlayer are good choices for playing just about anything so what is so special about this program? |

In terminal I get this message: 2006-03-08 16:58:38.754 Safari[221] *** -[NSURL initWithString:relativeToURL:]: nil string parameter I have no idea what this means but maybe it's a clue to what is happening. Recently I've noticed a problem with MU Menu when trying to download using Safari. For some unknown reason it hangs there trying to download a file. Also if you close the window and try to surf anywhere you can't, it just hangs trying to go there? The only way to get safari working again is the quit and restart. This happens at home and at work, any ideas? Shane |

I've been using this program since OS9 and found it to be a valuable asset. It does what it says and is easy to use. I find the search field not as accurate as it should be but it's a rare occasion when I can't find something. My biggest complaint about this program though is the look and the development. This program has looked the same since it's OS9 days even the fonts are the same. It would be nice to spice up the GUI and move some items around. As far as development, updates don't come very often and when they do there is not much that changes. Great program, very useful, but like to see more development. |

To uninstall just launch BroadbandTuner.mpkg again and it will uninstall the startup script and revert your system to the default settings. If you want to be sure of this, when you are almost at the end of the installation process, on the "Installation Type" step, click the "Customize" button and you will see that this time the installer will "install" the "Broadband Tuner Uninstaller" package. |

Mac OSX 10.3.9 to 10.4 to 10.4.3 Damn, no problems of ANY kind. Everything works perfectly. The only things I did was repair permissions and then ran Apple Disk Util. checked for any errors, then installed. Call me crazy for upgrading 2 major steps blindly, but I did backup to 8 DVD-RW's first :) 10.4.3 is a bit speedier than 10.3.9 but I can do without the retarded widgets, so I shut them off and killed the dashboard. I have no use for them. Anyone that had problems with any update/upgrade to this point might wanna try a clean install and quit downloading crap! |

I wasn't expecting much, but it's certainly improved the speed of web browsing in Safari. Haven't done any benchmarking, but I've found the biggest difference is with sites that Safari used to 'pause' for a moment on before loading. |

What a great idea! Instead of wasting time building a whole app, the author slapped together some apple scripts and it runs very effectively. I've used omni outliner for months for my todo lists. Just last week, I learned about the Getting Things Done system, and was surprised someone had implemented it with Omni Outliner. I do wish there was a native OS X app, as there are limitations to a system written as apple scripts on top of omni-outliner. Even with those limitations, kGTD gets the job done. I am using it for everything and loving it. |

I've re-read the developers description more closely and had a change of heart; clearly I have no idea what terms like "C/Gtk to C++/Gtkmm" mean and that should have been warning enough that this isn't for me. I withdraw my criticism. No offence. |

I have no idea what X11 is and nor do I care but this software requires me to install it, apparently. (Why this is not listed under "Requirements" I don't know.) I say apparently because I have gone to the trouble of installing "X11SDK.pkg" from my Tiger install disc but Inkscape still still asks for it. No doubt I'm doing something wrong, something that any programmer could tell me, but that's not my point: I don't think the developer has made clear the technical knowledge or basis for the use of this software. Ideally it should all happen in the background: this is, after all, a Macintosh application! I'm sorry to be somewhat negative because I'm sure the developer is dedicated and talented but perhaps Inkscape isn't quite ready to be unleashed amongst ignorant people like me. |

Tried to give it a chance, read reviews & website, had to sign in to download demo (your 1st mistake), and you offer a crippled and older version of 1.1.1? How elite do you think you are? I'm not a PC drone, and I'm not letting you squeeze me either. I manage just fine on eBay without bowing to 3rd party developers who just want to leech MY money before I see what I'm getting. I was willing to give you a chance to see if YOU could make work easier for ME, and I was willing to evaluate your application and price. If I'm considering purchase of a car, I would not be impressed if the sales person only showed me one older model tire. Same goes for MarketBlast 1.1.1, crippled edition. Poor business practice, we all lose... |

Cool concept. Nice visuals and I like the speed of it. Warning: Your Mac will appear hung, frozen black while it loads the screensaver EVERY TIME you pick it from the screesavers list! Just WAIT and watch! I'm using an eMac 800 with 384MB's and it takes roughly 30-40 seconds before it loads the artwork. On my old iMac it took a full minute or so to load it. So if it doesn't load in 5 minutes, then panic! Now to find some more quilts to add on to it. P.s. The author of this needs to add a message about the progress of the artwork its loading ! |

QTCoffee is a set of command-line tools. They are accessed by typing their name on the command-line. This is the way all command-line tools work. The documentation is installed as a set of man pages; there is also a Read Me and several other RTF documents whose locations are noted in the man pages. The first sentence of the first panel of the installer tells you where they are installed. That panel also tells you how to get at the documentation. We tried our best to help novices like you to find the application and its documentation by including this information in the installer, in the Read Me, and on our web site. We know of no better way of informing the user where a command-line tool goes. It's not like a GUI app where you just double click an icon. If you have a better idea, please email us. |

You can extract pax files just fine in os x.How do you think pacifist does it?BOMArchiveHelper.app is what does it,it is located at /System/Library/CoreServices/BOMArchiveHelper.app.Pacifist doesent do any thing you cant do yourself. If you want to grap itunes off your OS X install cd,all you have to do is find the package(the real package not a mpkg),click "show package contents" and extract the Archive.pax.gz file.I use this method all the time.Pacifist does not do anything special.Sure pacifist might save you about 1 or 2 seconds but not worth no 20 bucks thats for sure. |

Minor nit: if you set your eBay site as something other than ebay.com (say ebay.co.uk) and then choose something from Help>eBay, it gets the page from ebay.com rather than your local site. That means, for example, the Listing Fees item gives you fees in US$ rather than your local currency... |

Remote Desktop and DirectX games is pretty much 100% incompatible, and it does not matter whether you're using the windows client or the mac one. All but the simplest games depend a lot on the video card for all rendering, and a remote desktop session looks like a non-3d video card. You can't even go full-screen on a cmd window, because the faked video card does not have a text mode. |

Well, for one thing, you need a utility to extract files out of the Archive.pax.gz file inside the .pkg packages. StuffIt Expander will un-gzip the file to an Archive.pax file, but that doesn't help you that much. And even if it did extract the .pax file, you'd probably end up extracting the *entire* file, which, when you just wanted a single file out of a huge package like Essentials.pkg, would be a pain. |

Simply the best. You will wonder how you lived without it. I would love a feature that scrolls the currently playing itunes song across the menu bar right beside the butler icons. perfect. keep up the good work. |

And how would you expect to run Windows on your dual core G5 without an emulation? I haven't used this yet (because I use Qemu) and though Qemu isn't screaming fast on my 1.6 G5 PowerMac, its usable. Another thing, this program may not support multiple threads on multiple CPU (cores) to achieve its emulation... so your extra core(s) may be being wasted while running this. |

I'd just like to point out an inaccuracy in your review. Personal opinions on usability, icons, and development speed expectations aside, all of which we can agree to disagree on, (there's a free demo, so each person is free to try it and judge for themselves) the claim that SQLGrinder 2 was supposed to be released in August is false. The post referred to, I'm guessing, is this one: http://www.michaeldupuis.com/TheSoftwareUnderground/2005/08/sqlgrinder-2-beta-1-now-available.html, which wasn't removed, it just didn't get republished correctly when the blog moved domains. It clearly states and has always stated, "How long will the beta period last? Well, it will last as long as it needs to." I'd also like to point out that during the entire beta period, SQLGrinder 2 usage as been unrestricted, and has not required a registration. Thanks. |
