FLAVUM  Someone mentioned on Versiontracker that the developer may have been experiencing health issues (something about a hospital stay, IIRC). I don't know if this could be a factor in the poor support that users have been reporting (myself included), but I'm willing to give SkyTag a break until we get the whole story. Support used to be excellent - I received fast and helpful responses to all my inquiries.

FLAVUM  If you haven't actually used the program, how can you rate it? Crashing on launch is certainly a problem, but that's hardly enough to garner a 1-star rating.

FLAVUM  I have the same problem as you. I believe that many of the crashing/freezing problems are related to subtitles. I also have many mkv files, and some of them open and play fine until I turn on subtitles under the Video menu. Then the movie freezes, forcing me to quit (or force-quit) VLC.

Earlier versions didn't exhibit this behavior (prior to 1.0.2).

FLAVUM  Just to be sure, I subscribed to the MacUpdate Web site for $39.95 earlier this month. Is MUD registration included in that fee? Hope I don't sound like a dope...

FLAVUM  I'm not sure what the problem is, but MUD doesn't seem to be properly scanning my Applications folder. There are many programs that are not being listed in the Applications->All window (Final Cut Pro and all its extras, Logic Pro, Cocktail, GraphicConverter, MS Office, etc., etc.). In fact, only three apps are listed: MUD, MUMenu and MPlayer OSX Extended. Everything else is ignored.

Is there a preferences file that I can delete that will force MUD to re-scan? Any other tips that might help? This is really odd.

JACKMACB  Git the exact same problem. Funny though is, that MUD finds and ignores other apps after each restart. Have tried to rebuild spotlight to no avail.

There sure is a bug flying around here...

DP8  We are sorry this it isn't working properly for you, and are working on a fix as fast as we can. It appears to be an isolated issue affecting only a handful of people, and did not crop up during our beta tests. Please keep an eye out for an update - and contact desktop@macupdate.com if you can provide any more information.

thanks!
