The same here i.e. this application simply refuses to run no matter what I do! No button or popup menu functions. Is this a joke?!!! By the way, I use an iMac 24" and System 10.5.4. |

Writing about 1Password is gilding the lily! I visit tens of sites a day that need a password and this utility silently sits back and helps me with the tedious job of filling the login information. ScreenShade is not only soft on your eyes but also on your face's skin especially if you have a 24" monitor and are working in front of your computer in Summer without any air-conditioning! I've been using this gorgeous utility for a few months now. Today when I updated to OSX 10.5.3 I realized it was broken. Its developer's response was rather immediate and a new version corrected the incompatibility and added more enhancements. I recently learnt about Bokeh. As I had already used its venerable predecessor "Freeze Frame" and had found it an invaluable tool to increase my productivity I decided to give the new program a try. Well, I admit that it's exceptionally more intuitive and the new FOCUS function that instantly freezes other programs processing consumption to increase the foreground application resources is really a manna from heaven! This function also blurs other background windows to allow you more concentration on the document you are working on. I bought this marvellous application almost instantly. Now that more and more applications use Address Book as their primary database it's quite indispensible to import all your other files into it. Address Book Importer does this job flawlessly and without causing you a headache. The price is right and I even dare to say that for what it does it's even cheap! Dear developer, hello. I just bought my copy of NetShade3.3. It works great. The only problem I have is that I can't use "NetShade Proxy" even after entering my id and password as indicated by you. When I press on "VERIFY" button it shows the NetShade proxy ID on my browser but that's the "only" page I can open using NetShade Proxy. Am I doing something wrong or is your server down? I had some issues with my registration procedure of version 1.4.4 and in no time I received an appropriate answer to all my questions. When it comes to writing a comment for Default Folder I always find myself at a loss for words. It was sometime in the late 80's when I bought its first release and since then this marvelous program has been continuously enhanced and supported. Default Folder X version 4.0 has really hit the nail on the head and with its state-of-the-art interface, Spotlight integration and new functions such as previewing images and reveal in Finder distinctly proves it to be one of the best shareware programs ever written for the Mac. Add to this the best customer service you can get from its author Jon Gotow and the prospect of many more features planned for the future and you come up with the right answer to buy it or not. I hadn't heard of this program until today. However, trying Shredder Classic just for a few minutes convinced me to buy it. The user interface is simply gorgeous and the program is powerful and responsive. Its graphics is very smooth on one's eyes allowing long hours of play without putting any strain on them. What I like most is the analysis feature that allows analysing moves and learn from one's mistakes. All in all it's worth every cent you pay for it and at this low price it's a real steal. |

It goes without saying that Little Snitch is one of the best Mac software around if not the best. Anyone who cares about the security of his personal data being transmitted to unknown sites should give it a try. It works flawlessly in the background and pops out only when there's a risk of an unauthorized connection with an external source. I'm a proud owner of FLVR which unfortunately does no longer run on Leopard. I therefore had to switch to VideoBox which is another gorgeous piece of software. I wrote to VideoBox developers and asked for a new serial number which they promptly mailed to me with their compliments. They had even apologized for the delay in getting back to their customers due to some technical issues. Well, as for me I have nothing to complain about because I received one of the best customer supports in the market and also a free license for my brand new program. This wonderful utility changes the concept of how you organize your files on a Mac. Since I bought it two weeks ago my Mac has changed into a very orderly Mac. Hazel takes care of all my files which are automatically moved into their designated locations withour further intervention. Words simply cease to express its usefulness! I bought this application a few minutes after its first try. Sounds are crystal clear and its commands are very handy and intuitive. This allows customizing new sound combinations a snap. You can then use a program like "Audio Hijack" to make your personal audio CDs and enjoy your relaxation ambient even when you are not at your computer. Of course there's room for some improvements in the future but it's very reliable even as it is. |

This program is great for daily works in office or at home when what you really need is a simple but powerful word processor without all the hassles of hefty programs such as Microsoft Office, Nisus, etc. With few simple clicks you set up your page layout, change fonts and voila' - print your document! No need to guess complicated and bulky menus to access its essential commands or consulting a single line of its manual. Everything looks so simple and intuitive especially when you are in a hurry and have to do the job rather than concentrating on how to do it. If you add to this the low price and a wonderul customer service you'll see there's no justification not to buy it. I bought this program minutes after I first tried it. I use a Wireless Mighty Mouse and couldn't use its extra buttons for navigation purposes. Now with SteerMouse I can finally program the "Back" and "Forward" functions without ever going to the menus of my browser. I've been told that SteerMouse has a high level of compatibility with many other mice in the market although I haven't personally tested this claim. I do agree with PAULSRANDALL. This application is really a manna from heaven when many applications are open and you need to quit them at the blink of an eye. You can of course relaunch them effortlessly when you're done. This is really a time saver for a person like me who works with many applications a day and I do recommend it to all serious Mac-users. This is a simple but useful piece of software and has been enhanced notably since its first release. It uses very little memory and works flawlessly in background without slowing down the computer. When I first bought this application I couldn't imagine it would handle non-latin characters like Persian, Arabic, Hebrew, etc so perfectly. Well, after a few days of trying it I'm glad to say that it works perfectly with any language you throw at it including right-to-left script languages. Its interface is intuitive and user-friendly and with so many useful features packed into its belly it's a must for those who intend to translate any application into their favorite languages. I bought it minutes after I first used it. It indexes medias much faster than CDFinder although it's true it hasn't all its bells and whistles. If you want simply a program to index your Hard disks, CDs or DVDs then look no further. By the way I didn't experience any crash as reported by some users. I use a 24" iMac with System 10.4.10. I admire the courage of Pangea Software for entering into a hard-to-win competition dominated by excellent file launching programs like DragThing, Launchbar, etc. I doubt such bravery can win them much success but am confident they know very well how to play their hand. After all they have long been wonderful game-makers! |

It's simply amazing how many enhancements have gone into this version. Now the search functions have become more powerful and intuitive and power users will find the new functions a manna from heaven. The new XML-based file format is also very welcome and the program opens and saves faster the documents and manipulates them more efficiently. There's a small fee for users who have been using Mellel beyond the three years, which in my opinion, is very fair. To those who are skeptical about paying this minute fee I suggest one thing: open the first version of Mellel and also the last version and compare them side by side and ask yourself if it's the same product you bought years ago. I use this software to keep track of my things to do and have found it extremely helpful and in the meantime fun to use! Instead of jotting down my notes I record them onto Voice Candy and they pop out when time expires. Using a different voice for each appointment might not seem essential but it brings some light and humor to the dull days of our work in office. My only complaint is that sometimes the warning dialog boxes don't come to the front especially when I'm performing other operations on my Mac. I think it's essential that these boxes float on the top of other boxes to attract attention. After all, who wants to lose that very special appointment?! All in all this program is simply fantastic and is worth every cent I paid for it. Last but not least this company's customer service is fabulous and I highly recommend these guys.
