DAVID SHANOFF  From Chrome website:

‪Chromium Developer Documentation‬

‪Mac OS Known Issues‬

While we have made tremendous progress in the last few months, Mac Chromium is still a work in progress. To that end, there are many features that are either partially implemented or missing altogether. Don't worry, we will get there! Bugs have been filed for each of these items so there is no need to create a new report for anything in this list.

Chromium Features

¥ App Mode is not implemented. ÊIssueÊ13148.

¥ The Bookmarks manager is not implemented. ÊIssue 13149.

¥ Importing bookmarks from other browsers is not implemented. ÊIssue 13153.

¥ The Task Manager is not implemented. ÊIssue 13156.

ERUNNO  And not only extensions, but also some very useful built-in functionality:

1) Bookmark tags, which tremendously help in case you quickly want to recover a bookmark among hundreds. Also allows to safe searches like with Spotlight.

2) Automatic session recovery, which also restores tab history and even remembers the position on a site (very useful when reading long single sites across several sessions).

3) Fine-grained privacy control for those who care.

4) Better keyboard control (tab switching, switching to private browsing, etc.).

5) Non-modal save password dialogs.

6) Basic download manager which supports resuming for servers which allow it.

7) Firefox can differentiate whether to open new windows for pop-ups or redirect new windows into tabs automatically. With Safari it's even with the hidden preferences all or nothing.

8) You can add different search engines even without an extension if the site supports it.

9) The AwesomeBar :-) although it seems to be a love or hate thing. As a heavy keyboard user I can't live without it anymore.

10) A maximize window functionality. :-)

11) You can restore closed tabs and windows.

And probably some other features as well which I can't remember right now. ;-)

ECHOROB  In order for iTunes to transfer the videos to your Apple TV they have to be modified in a special way. Since only a small portion of users requires this, the option is not enabled by default. If you want your videos to be modified, open the iFlicks Preferences and select the QuickTime tab. There you'll find an option labeled "Make compatible with hacked Apple TV". Once you have enabled this option, all videos imported to iTunes using the QuickTime preset will be transfered to your Apple TV.

The option in the preferences is not selectable am i missing something ?

By the way everything else it's a fantastic app.

Mac DVDRipper Pro
Jul 16 2009

ECHOROB  The output file isn't a mess. Just right click show package contents and there you will find the Video_ts file that will work with any software. You can even go into the preferences and un select use dvdmedia extension and it will then produce a Video_TS file with no dvdmedia wrapper around it whuch will work with any software.

Mac dvdvripper pro work very similar to rip it I bought both apps and they both have worked 100%. If i as buying one app it would be mac dvdvripper pro simply because it is cheaper.

ROBERT COOGAN  It's unlikely that a software solution by itself would work since the region encoding is part of the firmware, and not solely software-based. I was originally told that VLC Player would open any DVD, regardless of region, and that turned out to be wrong. That's why Region X works - it taps into the optical drive's firmware and makes the change there.

TICE  That doesn't work - at least on my PowerBook. The DVD Player still doesn't accept the DVD because of the wrong region code. So FairMount isn't an option.

I use VLC (but used to set my drive regionfree with an older software (which doesn't seem to work after 10.5 anymore).
