EODTECH  Very useful piece of software. I am always searching for text files , pictures and PDF documents on my hard drives and Spotlight is not the perfect solution. With the selection of what type items to search for DataLore is super fast in it's searches and showing the path to the item at the bottom of the application ( tp include external drives which you can add or remove from the menu)is a nice feature with the ability to open the item with a right click saves time.

Very stable and worth a look, you will be throwing rocks at Spotlight after using DataLore.

EODTECH  I am a registered user of CBPro

I recently had a "farkle" on my Admin account and had to make a new user account, transfer info, etc

When started CBPro it could not find the accounts.plist and neither did Spotlight!

So Logged onto CheckbookPro WWW site and took a look at the FAQ.

Well all my questions were answered in the FAQ - copied my backup accounts file from my external hard drive and everything was just the way I left it under the old user account

FANTASTIC - you are by far way ahead of the competition in this regard, I have never see a FAQ that covers just about all the possibilities of what can go wrong

EODTECH  I have tried ALL the typing assistants out there for the Mac. The one that is at the top of my list and the one I have used the past 4 years is Typinator. The program is a snap to configure ( with predefined words for spelling error corrections ) as well as making your own free form snippets to be typed wit a few key strokes. The nice feature is the s/w sits within easy reach on the Menu Bar for adding additional snippets. Developer has several predefined tables to choose from, one being a list of HTML codes.

The HTML snippets set for Typinator provides over 100 abbreviations for elements of the HTML 4.01 standard. Just type a double less-than sign (

EODTECH  I have used Yojimbo for 4+ years. The release of v:2.0 is a BIG improvement over previous releases. It's now my choice for a free format database, storing all sorts of tid bits of information that don't seem to fit anywhere else. My favorite trick is to print to a PDF file and then open it in Preview - then using the edit feature in Preview to delete blank or not needed pages then import it in Yojimbo using Path Finder ( right click on the PDF file name and the select Open With Yojimbo). Easy , fast and now your "clippings"are searchable with tags you have assigned to each Yjimbo entry. I have quite a catalog of reviews from MacWorld stored in Yojimbo.

EODTECH  Some recent updates to PandoraJam..

* Pandora One support. If user is a subscriber to Pandora One, recordings are high quality 192kbps MP3 , exactly as broadcast.

* Genre tag is now set on recordings.

* Recordings are added to the correct playlist if user changes radio station at end of track

Pandora has also has an upgrade to itd free service. " Pandora One " service has a few added benefits - increase timeout increased from 1 to 5 hours, you get high quality streaming at 192kbps, no pesky advertising.

I had a couple nuts and bolts questions for the Pandorajam developer - he answered my inquiry in one hour and five minutes.

This application pays for it self in the first half hour of down loads, which go right on to your iPod or iPhone - a BIG savings here.

Pandorajam is also supported in Growl, another nice touch.

This is probably the the first Mac application that has put money IN my pocket, with no more $$$ going toward iTunes.

a true 5 star application for your Mac, you really need to register this software - it's money in your pocket.
