DONKEYOTAY Up until 5.5.4 I have had no problems with & thoroughly enjoyed using Omniweb. Unfortunately for me, 5.5.4 is dire. Slow, crashes often (2+ times a day), RAM hog on 10.4.9 on a Mactel 1.66 w/ 1 GB RAM. I'm going back to Safari. donkeyotay (Version 5.5.4)

IGABE I agree. It crashes constantly. Which is infuriating. This is a paid product and their marketing definitely glosses over how often OmniWeb will crash vs. in Firefox, Safari and Opera. (Version 5.5.4)

OmniWeb | Jun 6 2007 |
DAIYI I'm not experiencing any such problems apart from an occasional crash. This is not to deny your experience; yet I don't think it is the norm for this browser. Have you tried contacting Omnigroup or posting on their forum to find a possible fix or solution? Your posting seems somewhat unfair based on my dealings with the company and my experience using the browser exclusively since 5.5, though I can understand your frustration if the product is not working properly. IGABE I've exactly the same experience as Donkey. I've submitted and emailed dozens of crash reports by now. I believe what may be different about *my* case (I don't know about previous poster Donkey) is that I regularly have dozens upon dozens of tabs open -- and multiple "Workspaces" (*each* with dozens of tabs) I've always felt the browser was quite fine with just 1 window and maybe 10 tabs open. But past that, it gets slower on my MacBook Intel Core Duo 1.83 with 2 Gigs RAM (Version 5.5.4)

OmniWeb | Aug 9 2007 |
PLEXIHOSTING These reports aren't isolated, I experience the same thing and so do others. I used to recommend OmniWeb, now I'm ashamed that I have recommended it to people who actually purchased it. I should give them their money back for recommending such a memory-hogging, crash-prone piece of garbage. (Version 5.5.4)

DONKEYOTAY I started out with Butler; used Quicksilver for a long while, but have come back to Butler. In one application I have an App Launcher, a document finder, an applescript launcher, a multi-clipboard manager, a custom text inserter, a Bookmarks manager (that works with whichever browser I'm using at the time), gives access to Sys Prefs, folders & Music, gives access to the Menubar, allows search engine specific searches from any application, allows access & searches of the Address Book… I could go on. I found that QS was quite slow on my macmini 1.66 w/1GB RAM but Butler is very zippy. In fact, I'm so happy with it, I've donated to the developer & encourage you to do so too. (Version 4.1.2)

OmniOutliner Pro | Dec 4 2006 |
DONKEYOTAY I recently upgraded from Omnioutliner to OO Pro. I use it to run my (albeit simple) home & business accounts; keep a list of all serial numbers, several To Do lists. I particularly like the 'Default Clippings' Service. All my household projects start in Omnioutliner. If you're running an Intel Mac with Omnioutliner pre-installed, you can upgrade to Pro rather than buy the full product. Also, 43folders.com & Screencastsonline.com are running discount codes (the latter code being SCREENCASTSONLINE for a 40% discount). I got an OO Pro upgrade for about $18.00 instead of $29.99. DONKEYOTAY I had a few issues with this software which were eventually addressed by the developer. Specifically, I requested the ability to start an auction at one penny. This was incorporated within a later release, not immediately, but within two or three beta releases. So I bought the software. Its ease of use is great. Typically "Mac". Very intuitive & clear. It allows me to construct loads of auctions without a problem. I like enough of the templates to not need to write my own. Duplicating auctions is a cinch. About the only problem I've had is in the "Scheduler". In that it didn't always load all the auctions in a particular event. I had a response to my email very quickly, but have yet to try out 2.4 on this. My work around was to only schedule one auction per event. I've checked out iSale and wasn't at all impressed. I'm very happy with GarageSale. Keep up the good work. (Version 2.4)

Auction Listing Creator | Jun 19 2006 |
DONKEYOTAY I agree with ebay-jeff. This is not an auction listing creator it is an html tool only. I bought it, used it, quite liked the html, but it didn't list the auction. I still had to do all the tedious ebay bit. I then tried GarageSale, bought it & am very happy with that. I do about 30 auctions per week & creating, listing, tracking & post auction stuff is very good. No link, just a happy customer. http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/16035 Hope this is of help to someone. Donkeyotay (Version 6.5.2)

PERLMONKEY You may be right for some people, but if I decided to buy this app just to try it out I'd have to pay charges on my credit card for using outside the European Community. Even if they refunded me I'd be stuck with those charges and I really don't see any reason I should give this program a try when there is a chance I have to pay even the smallest fee (especially to my bloodsucking credit card company).
