The Hit List
Aug 8 2009

DON SYKES  Jeffrey - I too am looking down the road for iPhone support. The developer's preference pane says "Please rest assured that we're already working on the iPhone version of The Hit List that will sync with the desktop version."

I've moved all my to-do related thinking & planning into THL and am amazed at how well thought out and intuitive this program is. I can't imagine them not releasing an iPhone version, it would be suicidal from a company point of view. . .

DON SYKES  Evernote saved me big time! I've been using this program for a while and had moved over all my notes, and important information, including many work files (MS Word, Spreadsheets, etc). This was primarily so I could share the info between my desktop Mac and laptop PC (it's brilliant for this). On return from vacation, I had a Hard Drive fail and lost gobs of data - but not the info that was in Evernote. I simply formatted the new hard drive, added the Evernote app and was back up and running. Highly recommended.

DON SYKES  In defense of the author (no relation), I think he's offering us the chance to purchase it now at a discount and not have to worry about it later. Hit List is one of my very favorite products and the best to do organizer I've ever tried. You are free to use the pre release versions and I believe they do expire at some point.

DON SYKES  LinkAssistant and the rest of the suite no longer run on a PowerPC Mac. They do offer an older version for us though.

DON SYKES  Ouch - stopped working for me in Dreamweaver - happened before and I was able to escape by getting rid of "plain" clips. This time - no joy. Hope I can find 2.0.7 to go back to. . .

DON SYKES  I'm just starting to play with it and it seems pretty intuitive. If you want a good price on it, head over and check out the MacHeist bundle. Note: It's one of the ones that needs to be unlocked with enough sales.

DON SYKES  I've been using this "entry" version (non-pro?) for almost a year now and it never ceases to amaze me. These guys keep bringing in new themes and making the product better. I've used it on at least a dozen sites and it really makes them shine!

DON SYKES  FWIW - the windows version has the same "promo" box now as the Mac version. I still think this is excellent software though. . .

DON SYKES  Spotted this little gem in Mac|Life - I'm running Leopard so the OS wasn't an issue. Works nicely and is very intuitive. I'm forever trying to come up with a clever password - this definitely help! 5 starts because the price is right!
