DOC RENAUD As I had to set a private VPN connection for the first time, I choose Viscosity based on other people review here at MacUpdate about different app of this kind. So I can't really compare Viscosity with the competition. What I can say, is that it was a matter of maybe just one or two minutes to complete the setup and preferences, and that everything is running smoothly ever since. When the free trial was over, I gladly bought a license at this very reasonable price.

DOC RENAUD For me, this works just as well as PithHelmet, but doesn't crash Safari 3.2 and does not slow it down either. I really like the fact it's not a hack for Safari and I have not to wonder "is this version compatible with that version?". OK, it's new and must be tested in the long run. But so far so good.

SL1DER I too have looked into the differences between Azureus and Transmission. Transmission is hands down the better written and implemented application, not to mention better looking. However, the discrepancies that users see in download times SEEMS to be directly related to early releases of Transmission and it's supposed "compliance issues." Those issues led to many sites banning Transmission for use. As a result, although Transmission does a better job more elegantly for the peers it can connect to, it connects to far less peers as a result of being banned. If this situation has changed appreciably. please post and let us know. I can find no other reasonable argument for the differences in overall download times/speeds that haven't already been debunked somewhere by someone.

DOC RENAUD As I'm sick and tired to receive the usual crap like "petite Iesbiian teeins getting nasty on carpet mules", "hot chick suspended and pumped by machine began pecks", "Best Career USA!" and so on, as mail.app can't do a proper job filtering this crap, as Junkmatcher doesn't seems to works anymore, at least not properly, I've decided to give SpamSieve a try. And it's like a breathe of fresh air. Yes, you have to configure it properly, following the simple provided instructions and train it for a while, but after that you can forget about the stuff I mentioned above. It's so efficient, in fact, that I totally forgot about it. Until my 30 days trial period ended today and received the very interesting "cute blonde cheerleader poses on a bench wrong edge" mail. Spammers really should be aligned against a wall and gunned. After all, some people are alive only because it's illegal to shot them. Until then, there is a perfect and legal tool to fight them. It's called SpamSieve ! I registered immediately. After that 30 days of peace, I can't imagine living without it again.

PGRILO I like the smaller icons too (that's why I made them in UNO 1.3). I will make available an alt version featuring the small menu items. I just wanna get rid of all the glicths I can in one version before releasing the alt version. Also UNO lite should be available soon (will leave the strips alone and change only the toolbar/titlebar). PGRILO Bzip2 is nothing new. UNO 1.3 and previous versions were released in bz2 format with no problems. UNO 1.3.1 was released as a simple dmg, but people were getting an extra extention added by safari: UNO1.3.1.dmg resulted in a UNO1.3.1.dmg.bz2. Resulting in curruption. Trying to avoid that kind of (SAFARI) problems this time I passed it through bzip2. And Safari doesn't manage that kinf of file nicely. UNO IS AS SAFE AS IT CAN BE! Any way. it's solved now. :)

MACUPDATE ADMIN Well, this software is for managing a whole business/office, in this case a dentist's office and from my own experience it is not unusual nor does it take long for an individual to run up a $5000 dentist bill (a root canal with a crown, or partial bridge, as the need may be... that will cost you about $5000 in New York City, anyway). So in that light, this software is quite reasonably priced.

But having to deal with the fact that what you see in capture one, in term of color, contrast, etc... is different from what you get in Photoshop after you develop the image, was driving me crazy. Its still an ordinary window as it was before, just a little smaller, and it still requires you to flick back to in to iTunes to use it. Quite a few of the iTunes controllers are relatively useless (in my opinion) as they are still a big clunky window not looking anywhere near as nice as iTunes'. However TuneX's controller is designed to take over as little screen space as possible when not in use, and not take the front most focus away from the application you are using like iTunes requires you to. Some, including TuneX, also provide features like "Hot Keys" to control iTunes so that you do not keep calling up any controller to simple skip tracks or pause them. I hope this helps you understand why they are made. If not I'm sure you could download one or two and take them for a test drive. They really do come in handy and make your life easier if they are well designed and implemented.

DOC RENAUD For now, I'm using QuickTunes, that's offer me the possibility to skip to another track from the same album, to another track from the same artist, or to another track from the same genre. Just with a few shortcuts. In adition to play/pause, next track, previous track. This is really a plus.

DOC RENAUD I live in France but have a lot of friends in Canada since I use to lived there for 10 years. When I use Gizmo for France to France call, the soud is garbled. But calling from France to Canada sounds perfect, even if sometimes it takes about 10 atempts to get the line (The number you dialed is not valid...) And I know it is. Anyway, this app saved me a lot of bucks on international calls.

DOC RENAUD The best web browser for my needs. Not bloated but with very good features. Load pages faster than Safari, is more stable, have an elegant interface, with the possibility to customise it. I especialy love the handy side drawer. One request: Would it be possible to add an ads blocker, like PithHelmet ?
