DELPHIAN  Obviously DiscBlaze works quite well for most people, so I would be curious as to why it doesn't for you.

What OS version are you running? (DiscBlaze 6 and newer require OS 10.4.)

Do you have a supported CD/DVD burner attached and, if necessary, turned on?

BRYAN  Version 1.0.1 (just released) is substantially faster all around (including indexing and, especially, searching).

We are commited to making this a fantastic product, so if you have any features you'd like to see in Illumination, just let us know.

BRYAN  A pretty major (but free) update has been in development for some time and isn't very far from being released. Without saying too much about what will be in the new version... let me just say that I think you will be quite pleased.

BRYAN  There are no plans to charge for an update to Macabinet. Certainly not any time soon (for 2.0).

The $10 price hike was debated for quite some time here. Eventually it was decided that $20 was a nice price-point. (And existing users who purchased it before the increase, obviously, do not need to pay any extra.)

Macabinet is receiving a LOT of development and graphic design time right now. The fruits of which will be very apparent before long. The small increase in price helps to offset that cost for us.

It's also worth noting that one can purchase Macabinet, DiscBlaze and the rest of our applications for only $35. We try to keep things as cheap as possible for our users while still allowing us to put food on the table.

BRYAN  Are you able to burn any data discs at all using DiscBlaze with the drive you have? Do you have a drive that is supported by OS X itself? If so it would be incredibly helpful if you could email your system info (OS version, drive model, etc) to blaze@radicalbreeze.com.
