DAVID HANAUER So much animosity! Yes, anyone can make a screensaver. But doing so takes time and I think it is reasonable for people to try to be compensated for their time. These are not photographs which I simply pulled off the web, but rather ones which I took myself. So think of it as compensating me for the time it required to take all of the pictures and select all of the ones that I thought were a good representation of New York. Many photographers try to sell their work in one form or another. I don't see why a screensaver is not an allowable medium. Perhaps it is better to think of it as buying 75 photographs of New York to view, and it just happens to come packaged in a screensaver. So far there have only been comments about the philosopyy of charging for a screensaver. But did any of you like the photographs? (Version 2.0) |
