DAVIDN  Infovox iVox 1.3 is indeed not compatible with Snow Leopard. A complete rewrite of the core iVox speech engine was necessary to make Infovox iVox 64-bit compatible and ready for Snow Leopard. Despite the major engineering efforts, Infovox iVox 2.0 is offered as a free update in order to facilitate the migration to Snow Leopard for those people who rely on these natural sounding voices to use their computer.

DAVIDN  We are working on a new TouchStrokes version that will bring some of the new stuff over from KeyStrokes. But given the price differences not all of course. these products are also aimed at very different markets with very different needs and very different sales volumes.

DAVIDN  @tlongo: You are right about not being able to change pronunciations in the current version of GhostReader. However, we are working on adding features for this (which would be part of a free update).

DAVIDN  The price in euros is 39, not 49. In the world wide store prices are based on Euros, in the North American store on USD. The product cost $39 or 39 euro. Due to exchange rate fluctuations prices in other than the stores default currency may vary.

The reason for the two stores is that TextParrot includes voices which we license from another company and we are not allowed to sell those for the dollar price outside of North America.
