Delicious Library

DARKENTRIES  I have version 1. I like it well enough, but the Amazon integration is intrusive. After playing with version 2, I feel that aspect is even more intrusive. Please give me an option to turn off the reviews and recommendations. If I want this stuff, I'll open a browser and point it toward Amazon myself. This is not a value add to me and slows down the application. At least in version 1 the recommendations allowed me to add an item into the library if I had it already, or bought it. In version 2, it seems it's just an advertisement for Amazon. If I pay for an app, I expect no advertisements in it.

The auto entry into the synopsis is not editable, apparently. Why? I can add my own synopsis, sure, but it does not override the other stuff, which I find of little use. The Synopsis field also does not allow me to enter multiple paragraphs. Again, why?

With all the features, bells and whistles this application offers, is it so hard to allow me to put my own information only in here? I don't care about the Amazon.com reviews, or their product description. Please give me the option to remove these and then I'll consider an upgrade.

DARKENTRIES  LiteSwitch X by Proteron is an excellent replacement application switcher. It allows you to exclude applications from it, even if they do show in the dock. Looks like MacUpdate has a special deal on it for the time being.

DARKENTRIES  Good deal on this. It's a great application, but it's lacking a few things I want in the way of a timeline app.

DARKENTRIES  This is a nice library app. The ability to import from other libraries, including DL, is a great timesaver and makes it easy to decide to adopt this over DL. The developers appear to be very responsive to bug reports and feature requests. The biggest thing this application has over DL is the extensive breakdown of Music information. I much prefer this implementation over DL.

DARKENTRIES  This is the first I've tried it. It's speedy, even on large directories on an old quicksilver g4.

DARKENTRIES  I tried this one not too long ago. It's a pretty comprehensive tool for searches and saved searches. A lot of thought went into this app.

DARKENTRIES  This is a great organizational tool for a video collection out of control. Well thought out and implemented. I've tried it out in the past, but couldn't justify the price at the time. Looks like a good time to get it.

DARKENTRIES  Good too. Not even a bad deal at full price, but I gotta say the sales pitch "tak you another five seconds if you weren't using MacDust" isn't very convincing.

DARKENTRIES  I've tried this in the past. I liked it, but I couldn't justify the expense as it's not a huge need for me. Very slick little app, though.

Scrivener

DARKENTRIES  I'll have to add my Ditto to the rest of the critiques below. I jumped on board with Scivener Gold then transitioned throughout the open beta program. It's met all my needs so far: stable, quick, flexible and aesthetically appealing.

Scrivener has several features that I never thought would be useful to me until I actually used them. The corkboard and outline features, and the Edit Scrivenings feature. The Snapshots feature was a requirement for me. I like to have built in version control. Rich Text and the Multi Markdown option is a bonus.
