DANCINGSEA I really wanted to like this app and buy it for the sake of supporting the Mac community, but in the end, I just couldn't get into it. For me, managing my que is not a big deal. Browse for movies, add them to the que, rearrange the que every once in awhile. I don't need any management abilities beyond those basics. In that light, the Net Flix website is sufficient. Imho, on the browsing and searching for movies front (most important to me), NetFlix.com is vastly superior to this application. At NetFlix.com I prefer the little mini blurbs that appear one you rollover the movie title. I also like the way NetFlix.com displays the movie description, user reviews, and various critic reviews all on the same page. It's simply more dynamic, and in my experience, loads faster than NetFlix Freak. Yes, NetFlix Freak allows easy connections to Rotten Tomatoes, but that's about the only advantage, for my type of usage, that I could find. Simply not worth $15, imho. Perhaps this app would make sense if I had a household with multiple users and the need to juggle those accounts. YMMV, give it a try, you may like it. But until NetFlix Freak provides me with a noticeably better browsing experience than NetFlix.com, I'll have to pass. (Version 2.2) |
