DLFOSTER  If Anon Pad could provide more info on how to train Voodoo Pad or point us to a tutorial on how to easily accomplish these tasks in that program, it would be much appreciated.

DLFOSTER  Of course I know Apple is not the developer of this application. But Apple wrote the program that is needed to install it, and when appropriate, update it. I am reporting here that my initial installation of this app failed and that this failure required a total restore in order to make the iPhone function again. Fact. Cause? Whose fault is it - that remains uncertain at this time, but since I have seen this issue once or twice before with other apps, my money is it is either an issue with iTunes or the code used to maintain DRM/app signing, or maybe both. Potential customers with numerous apps on board (hey, I can think of a funny car window sign here) should be aware there is some level of risk. I a beginning to think there is some element of risk everytime you click the sync button. Think of it as apple Roulette.

DLFOSTER  This app has a watermark logo sprayed on the screen when in browse mode. Although less obtrusive than than the one initially present on the smaller desk version of the application, the vendor apparently can't take the hint from their users that we don't want any watermark logo on any page. Period.

Although most of the blame likely belongs to Apple, this very large app thoroughly crashed my iTunes/iPhone on the initial sync to install it on the iPhone. Subsequently my iPhone refused to display stored media, play custom ringtones, and ... successfully launch ANY application other than than those that came pre-installed on the iPhone. It required a complete restore (i.e., many hours) to get things working again. And I am still reentering data that iTunes allegedly stores into a file that never actually works.

I'd recommend passing on this until they remove the logo watermark and Apple writes some software that actually works.

DLFOSTER  Could you provide more detail by what you mean by 'pain'? Perhaps some directions to minimize it.

DLFOSTER  I am most impressed with the response of this vendor to the bug I reported a few days ago (inappropriate and inaccurate display of a notification that the trial period had expired). Furthermore, the vendor moved very quickly to place support and contact links on their web page (and to their credit there was a feedback menu entry within the application).

Also, the program appears at first glance to be useful while also being sort of fun. It appears that this vendor is responsive and genuinely commited to this product. That is certainly promising. I'll add a review after the holiday.

DLFOSTER  This is great freeware. Easy to use, the features you need most of the time - including capturing widgets, are right there.
