Indeed, I must agree that I am very disappointed that GroupCal has not yet been made Leopard-compatible. Having paid for the software, I expect much better support than this.

Sure hope it will be universal binary - I'm still on a PPC...

Will this be updated to work with iPhoto 7? I really miss this application...

This is back to being my favourite application. I find it indispensible for MySQL administration. The past few versions have been rock-solid. Setup is still a little tricky, but has been improved considerably with the setup scripts.

I really look forward to the new Leopard version. Now that Apple has changed their icons, Viou is needed more than ever! :)

I do hope it is re-tooled for Leopard. I don't know what I'd do without it!

I don't find it cumbersome. It would be good if you could outline why you find it unintuitive, or point to better products as examples.

I had hoped for an easy solution to get Apache 2/PHP 5/MySQL 5...but I couldn't believe it was this easy. After I downloaded it and started it up, I almost laughed out loud - I thought it was too good to be true. I had imagined I would be spending an afternoon messing with my system, but it was up and running in about 30 seconds.

Thanks for this. Awesome.

I don't know what I'd do without this app. As a web designer, it's invaluable for determining available screen real estate. Thanks so much for this - I've been using it since the first version.

This has indeed become much more stable in the past few releases, and the developers are very helpful. My only complaint is how slow it seems to be. I have a dual 2.5GHz G5 PowerMac with 2GB RAM on a fast LAN, and I can really feel it when it begins to sync. Things slow considerably, and it takes a long time (I believe I have it configured properly - including no longer syncing items older than 2 weeks, and tasks past 5 days). Invitations to calendar requests take a very long time, as well (a couple of minutes. Is this normal?).

Of course - sorry, that was dumb. Indeed, I have now set this appropriately.

How does one prevent the synchronization of years of events? I would like them saved (ie. appear in both calendars) - but they certainly don't need to be updated every 15 minutes. Is GroupCal smart enough to only sync changes? Or does it do everything, every time?

Hmmm...not as happy with this version. Since I updated, all of my calendars in iCal were duplicated, and the "sync" has been going now for more than 4 hours - and I doubt it will end successfully at this point.

I'm happy to report that GroupCal seems to have worked out the serious bugs, and I've purchased it. It's working smoothly, with a couple of minor bumps: it's quite slow - particularly with Tasks; it took several hours to email a meeting change to a colleague. These aren't deal-breakers to me...just annoyances. Each release gets more solid, however.

128 MB RAM?!? That's barely enough for the System alone...

Have you tried icalshare? (http://www.icalshare.com/)

I love it, too. It has not caused me any pain, nor has it slowed me down perceptively. If you don't have a lot of RAM, maybe it would - but that's the same for any app. I can't work without Windowshade.

GroupCal has now completely trashed my calendars in iCal twice. After the first time, I suspected a conflict with iSync/.Mac, but I have since turned off .Mac (I was trying it out). The second time, I believe I opened iCal during a sync. I could initially see my schedules, but they suddenly all vanished, leaving no calendars listed. I closed iCal, waited for a bit (to make sure GroupCal was finished) and then opened iCal. Nothing but the default Work and Home calendars, both blank. When I checked the size of the iCal database, it confirmed my fears. Everything was gone. I'm relieved to see it didn't trash my Exchange calendars, but this is simply not usable. I had high hopes for this as a solution for all of our Mac users on the Exchange system at our university, but I cannot recommend it to anyone.

Seems to work, though the GroupCal app won't open for me anymore (quits immediately on open). I suspect it started quitting after I turned on the menu item, but I can't turn it off now (because the setting is in the app). It's working anyway, but requires a lot of RAM and I can periodically hear my hard drive become very active.

I'd like this to be a little more solid for the money, and that's why I'm still using it in demo. I can't recommend it yet to all of the Mac users in our Faculty, but it's getting closer.

Now that I've got it working (had to turn session_autostart off, but that wasn't obvious), I am horrified by the appearance. Why are the font sizes so damn big now? The left frame even has a horizontal scroll bar now, because the content doesn't fit. Is anyone else having this problem?

Wow - up until this version (2.8) everything was great. I cannot for the life of me get this version to work, despite following the instructions to the letter. I get errors such as "A session is active. You cannot change the session module's ini settings at this time", even when I try using the setup script.

I love this app. I hope this is a bug that will be fixed soon, or that it is something that can be solved by better documentation. For right now, I can't use it.

This simply does not work for me. I am on a PowerMac Quad G5, running 10.4.3. I installed everything I was supposed to, and attempting to launch the program does nothing.
