CREATIVE GUY Considering you can do anything this app does simply by typing a few lines in the terminal, and there is no Web site for this developer, and I have no idea who this guy is, I'll be skipping this app. (Version 1.0.1)

CREATIVE GUY You people who complain about the two and a half seconds to activate Adobe apps crack me up. If you wouldn't pirate their software, there would be no need for activation. If you didn't pirate it, then they already have your personal information when you purchased it. Either way, they have your info, so get over it. (Version 1.3)

CREATIVE GUY The only comments from the developer that I can find that **might** be considered rude were in response to a user who someone has convinced himself that taking the app and using it with a pirated serial number is NOT stealing. Um, OK. You deserve to be called any name anyone can come up with to describe you. I choose to use the words idiotic moron. (Version 3.5.2)

CREATIVE GUY $8 for this??? You get this for free in your system prefs and Onyx (as well as a few other freebie apps). I mean, it has a nice GUI and all, but... (Version 2.0)

CASTLE I think you have misunderstood what DockLock is and what it's for. It is designed to let you choose which features of your Dock you want locked or unlocked and to lock or unlock them for you with 1 click of the mouse. You should not need to bring up the preferences window often, and many (most?) users of DockLock will not need to register. Please actually make an effort to try out and to understand an applicaton before judging if it is worth the shareware fee. (Version 2.0)

Please email us at http://www.ragesw.com/support/ We are using RAGE Domainer on 7 different computers running OS X 10.4.10,10.4.11 and 10.5.2 without issue. I am sure we will be able to help find a solution as to why you are experiencing problems. (Version 1.6)

RAGE Domainer | Mar 13 2008 |
We have located the problem. It happens if you upgraded from 1.0 to 1.6 without installing 1.5. We have fixed this issue and will be releasing an update very soon. Sorry about the problems. (Version 1.6)

1Password | Oct 28 2007 |
CREATIVE GUY Version 2.5.2 fixed the issue with 2.5.1. So it works great with Leopard again. The only problem with it now is that the toolbar icon for Safari is the old aqua style, and doesn't match in Leopard. I was able to make a custom version to drop into the package, but it would be nice to have a fix for that. Otherwise, a great app and great response time to problems! (Version 2.5.2)

DTEARE Thanks for the feedback! We just fixed the Safari icon in the latest 2.5.3 release. The 2.5.2 release was focused exclusively on making things work -- sadly the nice icon had to wait a few days :) (Version 2.5.3)

1Password | Oct 27 2007 |
CREATIVE GUY Everything was working fine with 2.5, but after updating to this version (2.5.1), Safari no longer recognizes 1P at all (even after following the developer's directions to remove the bundle. Furthermore, BonEcho (Firefox build) now creates a new icon in the dock every time it launches after opening & closing the 1Password application. Any ideas? (Version 2.5.1)

DTEARE I'm not sure about that Bon Echo problem. You should email us directly so we can help out with that. As for Leopard, I think we finally got all the issues resolved. SCOTTISHWILDCAT If you don't want to use X11, use (or write) a Cocoa app that's built on the GIMP libraries, rather than GIMP itself. That's how Adium did it. "If you build it, they will come." (Version 2.4rc3)

Pixelmator | Sep 25 2007 |
CREATIVE GUY This is a fantastic app for version 1.0. VERY fast on a MacPro with 3GB RAM. I don't see this at all as a Photoshop competitor. It fills a giant void for the tons of folks who don't need the power and features of Photoshop - and it does it quite well. Many features such as CMYK support, RAW support, drop shadows and more have already been promised for future versions by the developer. Remember, it's only 1.0 (Version 1.0)

IGAUCHO It's clearly not a replacement for professionals who use Photoshop. I see it as more of a direct competitor of Photoshop Elements. I think many people looking for an app in that part of the market will be using this. PS Elements is already two versions behind the PC version and is still PowerPC only. (Version 1.0)

Kimbo | Jul 15 2007 |
CREATIVE GUY Right off the bat, I knew this was going to be a bit of a waste of time. Mirror, Cut, Rosette and Tile can all be done quite easily with the basic tools in Illustrator already. So half the tools Kimbo provides don't need to be there - so take off $20 of the price. What's left? Well, I don't know because the remaining tools I couldn't really figure out a use for, thus they really aren't work a nickel to me, let alone $20. And, like the first few tools, they can all be done with the built-in tools. This needs to be in the $5 range for the whole group of them. Even then, someone who uses Illustrator is probably knowledgeable enough that they can figure out how to do everything these plugins do with the built in tools (Version 2.5)

CREATIVE GUY I don't really see your widget as a "rival" because I don't consider my site and sites like it a "competition." I also write for other sites like CreativeBits, Macworld and several others - all of which "compete" with my site. I do it because I enjoy it. I'm disappointed in this widget because it simply adds no value. I can see headlines in dozens upon dozens of other widgets, readers and even on iGoogle page. The fact that you're just starting is no excuse for the lack of tips - you should have waited to release the widget until you had more then. I don't think I'm being unfair. You have a 1.o product with little to no content. My review is a reflection of that. I think you misunderstood what I meant by the "taken from other blogs" comment. I realize that your content (just like everyone elses) is usually taken from somewhere other than our own experience. We read other sites, mags, ect. and repost it. What I meant was that the tips in the widget from your site are so basic in nature that they're found EVERYWHERE. If you're going to launch an app/widget like this, and you have little to no content, you should at least make the content you do have highly useful or entertaining. (Version 1.0)

Adobe Creative Studio Help | Jun 5 2007 |
CREATIVE GUY This is not worth the download. The widget simply shows (some of) the headline to a very basic tip or tutorial, but not the tip/tutorial itself. Basically, it's just a ploy to get you to go to the Web site, which at this time features only about 14 tips taken from other blogs/sites. For this to be useful or even remotely enjoyable, the entire tip needs to appear in the widget. Also, a little basic customizing to the widget would be nice. It appears that this was a "test project" using Apple's widget builder. (Version 1.0)

CREATIVE GUY LOVE this app! The one feature I would like to see added that hasn't been mentioned (that I've seen anyway) is a button next to "Print" in the invoice section that will "Email PDF" - I mean we've added the customers email address to the database, so why not use it? Sure you can click the PDF button in the print dialog box, but then you have to manually name the PDF. Most invoice programs support some sort of "email PDF invoice" service, I think it would be a great addition. (Version 1.1.1)

iThemeOS | Sep 23 2006 |
CREATIVE GUY This is an icon changer. What does this have to do with "themes"??? Candybar is MUCH better than this, and costs the same. The only thing it doesn't do is change the boot panel - which there are several other free apps that do this. I guess if this app didn't have the word "theme" in it, I wouldn't complain. I'm sure it's a nice little app, but there are just so many already out there that do this that it's hard to get excited about this one. (Version 1.0)

CHRISPLANESHIFT I appreciate your feedback! We are updating our website with exciting themes that you can download which you can then share and change. We have teamed up with great icon artists to allow you to customize your Mac with really cool icon themes. The term theme comes from the fact you can save and import your themes which nicely package your icons into a single file. Visit http://www.planeshiftsw.com as early as this evening to see our new themes. Also, use our handy icon converter to make your own themes and share them with the community. (Version 1.0)

iThemeOS | Oct 23 2006 |
OLIPOWER Oh man dear developer, did you read what MacGizmo wrote? Haha, man, to sum it up: A theme is not just an icon-package. An iconpackage is an iconpackage. And a theme is called a theme. A theme is more than just icons. CandyBar from Panic software does what your software does, better and in a much nicer interface. Panic Software calls their iconpacks "iContainers" which is a nice, descriptive term. (Version 2.0)

Apple Mac OS X | Apr 5 2006 |
CREATIVE GUY Do NOT install this update if you use Photoshop CS2 or InDesign CS2. Photoshop will crash when saving files to a network server, or saving to your computer if you open a file from the network server. InDesign will crash when running Package for Output. Fixes mentioned on MacFixIt and Macintouch do NOT fix the problem in all cases. (Version 10.4.6)

ZACHINTOSH Thank you. I just made this when I wished I had a way to turn my iChat logs (logged by Chatalog) in RTF files. The main idea of Mail Message to RTF is to create an automated way to do this, not by searching a service menu or manually using the clipboard (as Mail Message to RTF copies and pastes the message to and from the clipboard) (Version 2.0)

CREATIVE GUY I'm sorry, but this app just leaves me shaking my head. First off, why is it in the Dashboard category? It isn't a widget, it's a full blown application. Second, there's nothing "mini" about it, it's larger than the iTunes remote you get when double clicking the yellow minimize button in the iTunes window. No preferences, boring GUI... sorry, no point to this app at all. (Version 2.0)
