COLOSSUS9  @ MDRPRO, you are in a class all by itself. Kudos to you. I have converted to MDRP as well. I knew soon as 'The Little App Factory' bought this application it would become substandard. RipIt development was moving along substantially prior to The Lil App Factory.

COLOSSUS9  AWESOME! Thanks Colin for updating this. Now update that killer website of yours. I have recommended this driver to every Mac friend and enemy out there.

COLOSSUS9  I sent an email a few weeks back and never received a response. The developer was quick to respond (here) on the latest update. I have a feeling this is going to be abandoned, due to the lack of updates. =(

COLOSSUS9  John that was fast. Not even 30 minutes and its 5am CT. Wow! Letting you know the app does update itself just fine when using the "Check For Updates" within the application and the "I lost my licensed copy" feature on the RipIt website works as well.

COLOSSUS9  ***NOTE TO THE DEVELOPER***

I have purchased this app back in December. When I d/l this update from here (MacUpdate) it wants a license. When I bought this app I received a direct link from RipIt to download "my" copy of RipIt. Since this update changed the registration system how do "we" obtain our license?

JOHNRDEVOR  Oh, it's 3:24 AM over here and I'm scrambling to get this out... I didn't realize you guys would pick up on the version difference so fast (the reason for the difference was because we're switching registration systems). Anyways, stay tuned for an update! I don't sleep till it's done. :)

JOHNRDEVOR  The update should now be working for both new and old customers of RipIt. Sorry for the confusion!

COLOSSUS9  I used this app several times and it keeps damaging my ACLs on the start-up drive first, then the rest of the drives become effected. Including internal and external drives and made my machine incapable to boot from any drive attached to this machine. Basically, every drive had a lock on it and all ACL rights defaulted to "custom" instead of "read-write", "read" or "drop box". This only happened when I have installed this app, and I installed it 4 times. I had several techs look into this and we saw the damage to the ACLs happen simultaneously. We noticed it is when this app is installed. Even after we repaired my MacPro. We decided that this program is dangerous. Caveat Emptor.

COLOSSUS9  This app is a must have. I had it since it was offered as a freebie to MacWorld readers and I paid for the upgrade. It's worth every cent and then some.
