CLARUSAD Works perfectly on Safari 3.23 ; and they still support Tiger :) The interface isn't very nice (not really "mac friendly", the Mac OS look & feel) and i hope next version will bring more options... But it's a great start ! (Version 1.1.4b)

AIKOUSHA You have to have newer, just to justify yourself? Newer isn't always better, and with OSX 10.5 it unfortunately breaks hundreds of reliable and useful apps. (don't see this happen much in Winodws, sad to say). So, for me as well, I can't give this a recommendation unless there is a 10.4 version. (Version 1.3.4)

GlimmerBlocker | Jun 18 2009 |
ROBOTANK How reliable can an app really be if its developer can't update it to run on Leopard, which has been out for over a year and a half? You must be using a lot of abandoned software if upgrading to Leopard would break "hundreds" of apps. You might as well just bite the bullet and upgrade. With Snow Leopard on the way, I'm sure Tiger is rapidly running its course. (Version 1.3.6)

GlimmerBlocker | Jun 28 2009 |
AIKOUSHA Lord, did you miss the point... And the reason why Leopard breaks so many apps, is because Apple pulled the software out of Leopard that was required (or superseded it)... This is not a fault of the programmers! The same thing they did in Tiger... Anybody else miss the old search, and hate the very broken Spotlight? It sort-of works, but you wouldn't accept that in airline travel... And as far as snow leopard is concerned... It "breaks" everything that isn't Intel. According to Apple, they have abandoned PPC completely. If I want to go Intel, I'll buy an Intel Machine, Install WinXP, Linux and Hackintosh. Best of all worlds. (Version 1.3.6)

GlimmerBlocker | Aug 28 2009 |
JRDUB Are you seriously saying that Leopard's spotlight is inferior to Tiger? Wow. It may be true that you can search on specific fields in Finder easier in Tiger. But the results are atrocious. Rarely did it ever find anything meaningful for me. And I use my computer, as a web developer and systems consultant, for at least 6 hours per day. That's time in front of the computer working. Tiger can't even hold a candle to Leopard. I have *hundreds* of apps on my computer. And, true, some of them stopped functioning when I upgraded to Leopard, mostly obscure utilities. But the beauty is in the Mac community if one program fails or disappears there is virtually always another better project being actively developed. So, have you actually looked into replacements for the programs you're afraid of losing? (Version 1.4)

MUDFLAPPER So, this app gets a one-star review from you because it doesn't support a chip that hasn't been manufactured in four years? I have to say, I'm sick of all the whining and moaning from folks that chose not to join Apple's transition to Intel processors. I understand money is tight these days. But it's been FOUR YEARS people. Take all the energy you're wasting on pining for obsolete technology, sell your outdated machines on eBay while you can still get a few hundred bucks for them and apply that cash to a used or refurbished Intel iMac. Seriously. (Version 11.0)

Saft | Feb 25 2009 |
JAZZYGUY PPC Macs are great! They have always stood for great Mac performance and although I have 2 macs with Intel I own 5 Macs with PPC processors including aG% with dual 2.0 Processors that I wouldn't trade for the world. There is no reason why apps can't be designed with Universal instead of limiting them to people with Intel Processors in their Macs. Believe me there are enough of us around and we love our Macs. (Version 11.0)

SNOWWHITESICKETTE Count me in the PPC fan club. I have not yet bought a Macintel. I don't like the look of them so far, and have seen many complaints about hardware problems in forums. PPC still works great for me, although the day will inevitably come when I have no other choice but to buy Apple's current hardware. I hope the developers of Saft make a version that supports PPC, Tiger and Safari 4. (Version 11.0)

CLARUSAD That'a a solution. But a little one because if an application is not in the dock, its menus disappear too in a definitive way ! Really, adding a daemon to AdiumX would be a great improvement. (Version 1.3.2)

S_KALB If your concern is the Dock icon, maybe will apps like Dock Dodger or Dockless interest you. They disable the Dock icon. Though, I have find it harder to use, because dockless apps seem to have a lower window priority at launch. Give it a try to see it this suits you. (Version 1.3.2)

MISCHIVO This request makes no sense to me. Why do you need a daemon that keeps you logged in if the program is off? What purpose does this serve? What would happen if someone tried to message you? You seem to be proposing a solution for a non-existent problem. (Version 1.3.2)

SWO The answer is 'no'. I didn't go to the site prior because I used Virtue Desktops, till the maker stopped supporting it. What the link show were essentially patches, which is not the same thing as saying the app is actively being developed and supported. (Version 1.0)
