CHRIS FAM The only Mac app that can convert RM and RMVB format. Too bad it can't convert to AVI with DivX which I can watch on consumer DVD player with DivX certified. I did notice before the MP4 is created, Penguin actually convert the video to AVI (DivX 4) but later it merge with the audio resulting MP4. Hope the developer can make it on next release. Also increase the conversion speed and reduced CPU usage. Like VisualHub does. Many thanks! :D

It's quite a commonly requested feature, but it's a non-trivial problem to implement for various reasons so I don't think you can expect this any time soon.

CHRIS FAM Doesn't support daisy-chained writer which is a minus. My data are usually store on my FireWire HD and has a DVD writer connect to it... I burn my data on that drive with the daisy-chained writer... pls add support?

CHRIS FAM Unstable. At first I couldn't add any movie to the main windows. So I suspected it's Application Enhancer or default folder. After I exclude iConvertThem in their Exclude List. I can only add .mov file but still not with .flv and RealMedia. Haven't tried others yet.

STRONGMANTIM The quality of the videos is not the best. The application converts the your to a Flash video, which is playable in the Opera-based browser on the Wii. The only video I have converted is a video slideshow, so I can't tell exactly how good the conversion quality is. If I had to guess, I would say that it is about 15 frames per second. There are multiple levels of quality you can convert videos using. I believe I used the best setting. I could not get the video conversion to work when sending the video to a SD card. I will use the music player the most often. It finds your iTunes library and streams it to the Wii browser with what I am assuming is Flash. If iTunes is open on the Mac, it will display the album art. I was really really impressed with the music feature. I did not use the photo part of the application yet, but look forward to seeing what it can do.

JOSH LINDQUIST Anytime you're ripping and converting the video at the same time it's going to crawl and tax your optical hardware pretty bad. I would recommend using MacTheRipper (v3 in the wild is the best for speed and stability) and then using HandBrake or VisualHub on the output that MacTheRipper gives. On my MacBook Pro it takes 10-15 minutes to rip a DVD and then HandBrake or VisualHub can compress much smoother with the files off your drive than off the DVD, not to mention you can load up a que then with a load of DVDs. | |

TRONDAH Hm, rip from DVD is already a feature! And like the guy above says, better to make an image of the DVD first, then compress. You don't need mactheripper either, disk utility will do the job fine.

VERYCARLA MTR 3 can be had from certain places. I don't think it was meant to be shared, but once the genie's out of the bottle... Anyway, if you want to rip and convert directly from DVD, may I suggest you check out Handbrake (just search here...you'll find it). It does just that. Visual Hub is meant more as a tool to work with existing video files, from VOBs to MP4s and (almost) everything in between.
