C. MENG  Just FYI, Pagico 4 runs at a reasonable speed on my Powerbook G4 (1.67). So I'm wondering there might be something else on your machine that's slowing it down?

Thanks!

Thanks!

C. MENG  An uninstaller has been added (and fixed) to the program since 3.1.0.51.

Users on either 10.4 / 10.5 will not experience any difficulties in removing the program.

Thank you!

C. MENG  Please try rebooting your computer to resolve this. You'll see the message that the ioncube things can not be deleted if you have trashed the Pagico folder manually without rebooting.

So rebooting your machine will resolve the issue.

Thanks!

C. MENG  Hi,

We've just double checked the file downloaded from our server, that after the installation, the "Uninstall Pagico" application is there, in the Pagico folder.

It could be caused that you were downloading a cached version of the package, or you were probably have downloaded multiple packages from our website and used the wrong one.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience of not attaching the uninstaller in the first place. But please understand that we're actively helping.

C. MENG  Hello there:

To use the uninstaller (recommended), please download the latest version of Pagico (Standard) for mac, install it. After the installation, you'll find the new "Uninstall Pagico" application in your "Applications -> Pagico" folder.

The uninstaller is not directly included in the downloaded package.

Thank you!

C. MENG  Hi, yes! Of course!

Actually we've JUST added an uninstaller application to our latest build. Please take your time, download it again from our website, install it, then you'll see the uninstaller. Use it to uninstall safely and quickly.

Or, if you don't want to go through the hassle again, you can just trash the "Pagico" folder in your "Applications" folder, then restart your computer before emptying the trash (you wouldn't be able to empty it without restarting).

Hope that clarifies!

Thank you, and sorry for the inconvenience of not having the uninstaller at the first place.

C. MENG  Hi there!

There won't be any screencasts for the usage of Activities feature in the near future. That's because we've already published an article covering this area.

C. MENG  Thanks for your reply.

We're doing whatever we can to make it harmless to your apache configurations so we used sub-configuration files that is not going to conflict with your system.

But as you're having the issue, I really would like to know more about it so we can improve our installer.

Thanks!

C. MENG  Yes, currently Pagico does not export to PDF files. But you do can use "print" feature for your topics, and you'll be able to select save as "PDF" or something similar.

C. MENG  Hi there, could you say a little more about that? So we can work something out (it might be a bug in the installer or whatever).

Pagico supports Intel Macs of course, as we (any many other users) are using them as well.

C. MENG  Pagico was first developed for Windows, and then migrated to Mac platform, so it's not following the application guideline from Apple.

But please know that we're improving this with our every effort.

Regarding your comments:

1. Installer ask for administrator's password

Pagico needs to modify your system configurations so this is a requirement.

2. Install data on the root volume

Will be fixed in the near future

3. Modify apache config (httpd.conf)

No, it does NOT modify apache config file.

4. Modify PHP.ini

Yes, it has to modify PHP.ini to make Pagico work. But we'll make the installer more intelligent so that modifying your php.ini won't break your current php applications.

5. Uninstaller

Will be added.

6. Ask for "email" when initiating demo

You can write anything here. It doesn't has to be valid if you don't want to enter your email address. We use this email address to provide better customer service.

Hope you'll understand that we're trying to do the best for you all.

C. MENG  To Anon Bud:

Sorry about your disappointment but it really is a major updates compared to v1.0 or what.

We haven't heard anything from you could you please tell us where did you find the "support helpdesk"?

There are bunch of important updates including the "1-click share"(privately with real time chat and publicly with email feedback forms), recursive event support in schedules, importing iCal data, 4 new document styles, auto-save of text paragraphs, UI refinements and a lot more.

The contact feature is currently hidden from mac versions as CodeX will randomly crash in somewhere in Contact management, so we put it down temporarily for obvious reasons.

We're sorry about your disappointment, but please see that we are not building a replacement of everything in your mac, but a working environment that you can organize everything with.

A very simple example: when you are onto something, you have to check out schedules in iCal, contacts in AddressBook, and all your data in different folders.

When you want to present all these work to some one, it becomes even more inconvenient.

With CodeX, you can get everything around you easily, pack them up and send to someone, or just share it online so that everyone can discuss on that.

No offense but I still recommend you trying out these things before giving up on CodeX.

Collect everything in pages(topics) and work in it.

Play slideshows; 1-Click share; Export with style.

P.S. We, our support team always reply to everyone's email, no exception. So I guess you must be sending your feedbacks to the wrong place.

Have a nice day!

C. MENG  Sorry to write here again, but I just want more users can see this.

Hi there.

Yes, currently we don't provide any integration that is "System-Dependent", as CodeX Apps is designed to be compatible with both Mac & PC.

But, still we have some "integrations" with other apps, such as our Calendar feature supports importing/subscribing iCal files(which can be exported from iCal on Mac). And, our collaboration platform provides RSS access as well.

Once again, because what we emphasize on is the compatibility of PC & Mac, so we have to do some drawbacks.

Therefore, I hope you can understand.

Talking about things that it can do while softwares bundled with your shiny mac can not, is the management of your works.

Sure, you can create folders as you are doing right now, but if you handle more than one thing everyday, you'll find that working on tons of folders are not pleasant at all.

Different ways of organization of your folders have different advantages and drawbacks. As we manage your stuffs by "tags", you can actually get different views of your works at any time.

And, there are lots of advantages in our product, including the free edition. They definitely can help on your works in many ways.

If you have any ideas or thoughts, please feel free to contact us.

thanks

C. MENG  This v1.5 is a kind of major release in our version history: The workflow is complete with bunch of improvements made in this release.

Therefore by downloading and try out you'll find your works can be migrated into and started with it extremely easy and pleasant.

One of the most important improvement we made in this release is the support for Microsoft Office softwares, including MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.

C. MENG  Sir, we are sorry about this version 1.2, as there are bunch of bugs and mistakes. The thing is the software promotion is finished earlier than we expected, so users may have downloaded those "in-completed" versions.

We apologize for this. We've complete the final development a week ago, and released the latest 1.4, which is market-ready.

Please read our website: http://en.codexapps.com/Personal/ for detailed info if you want to, or just download again and give it another try.

I promise you it's not gonna let you guys down again.

Thanks!
