BUSHWHACK  Got it to go eventually.... apparently must have been a server overload. Had to start and stop the download several times in order to get the download to complete.

BUSHWHACK  Good luck trying to download... tried to download the Snow Leopard beta... but the server it is hosted on is horrible... 6.29 mb file now downloading at 22 bytes.... 22 BYTES.... 37 hours left to download... may look for another equivalent from a more serious developer.

Cancel that.... it just bottomed out....download canceled.

What a joke.

EAN  Just dl'd the Snow Leopard beta in less than five seconds... No problem. Looks like it will be really handy. Now I can return those two, fallible neurons I've trained to check for attachments to something more productive. Like thinking about breakfast or something.

BUSHWHACK  Just downloaded the new release for Adium and I have mixed feelings.

While I like to have Xfire in with Adium, it locks Adium up when I log into Xfire....after locking up for a minute or so, the program starts working as normal.

Slightly disappointing... but a start

BUSHWHACK  What are you talking about?

Try providing details about why you think this, instead of just making blind accusations....

BUSHWHACK  Downgraded back to the most stable release.... broke my PDF Viewer plugin.... would not render PDF in browser or allow me to download it... oh well....

Will wait for that to be upgraded before trying 3.6 again

BUSHWHACK  Wow!! This version of Firefox is MUCH MUCH faster than previous versions! I normally hesitate when putting in beta software... but I bit the bullet and I am glad that I did.... this is more stable and faster than previous versions by far!

The only stability issue that I had with it locking up came from the new plugin feature that scans your plugins to make sure they are updated. And this is probably because Firefox was basically scanning itself.

What I would eventually like to see is the ability for each tab to self exist, and if one tab crashes, it does not take the whole damn browser with it.

BUSHWHACK  I would beg to differ... I was hesitant at first when I first installed it as well, considering the hack softwares that messed up installations to Leopard from Tiger as well...

But I have been using an modded scrollbars file that is an iTunes mod to remove the hideous and seriously outdated Aqua scrollbars.

It makes the OS look so much cleaner. I have not had issues with that even through an upgrade from Leopard to SL.

This is a welcome mod as well. Not only does it mod the outdated UI's scrollbars to something a little bit unified with the rest of the OS, but it gets rid of the Aqua drop down menu items and buttons and really helps update the look of Mac to something a little bit modern day and not late 90's.

This version offers an uninstall so if you don't like it you can take it out. Also as always you should back up your data before installing beta software or any software and I have an active backup of Time Machine.

So far, this software has run flawlessly for me and really has made me like the more modern & sophisticated UI it gives the Mac OS.

BUSHWHACK  I am guessing that the graphite appearance is not supported yet with the iLeopard buttons, because I tried to install them and only got the aqua effect in the buttons instead.

Using the default glossy graphite buttons and installing the default style at the top of the toolbar get the buttons and menus to display the iTunes style.

BUSHWHACK  Excellent mod!!

I backed up my system files just in case, though this beta provides an uninstall option to revert it back to your original files.

I had to install and uninstall several times to get it to work for some time and get the buttons to convert, but once they did, the theme itself is beautiful!
