32- or 64-bit Kernel Startup Mode Selector
Sep 6 2009

BLOOBIE  What is the point of this app, may I ask? Unless you have more than 4GB of RAM installed, then there's no need or advantage for a Mac to boot up in 64-bit mode.

MARKUS WINTER  P.S. And in case you are too lazy the points are:

- show the state of your current Macs 64-bit readiness

- if it is possible on your Mac make it easy to switch the boot state permanently

- and most importantly: collect some money for kids much worse off than you

... and I hope you donated and didn't just come here to leave pointless remarks with zero information content - after all you could have just emailed and asked me directly, so I wonder about the need of some people to show that the HAVEN'T READ THE INFO ON THE WEBSITE!

;-P

BLOOBIE  Does what it says. Rang my mobile and connected me to my office 800#, and I received a txt sent through it. Seems rather limited but great first step!

BLOOBIE  Why would I install this when I have Safari 4.0 beta installed and working flawlessly, even with Glims?

WALRUSCP  If you have the actual beta, then good for you because we could care less. The rest of us using the stable release or even nightly builds of WebKit benefit from this update.

BLOOBIE  So you're voting for Skim because it's free? So is Preview and the program (Adobe Reader) that you are "reviewing" under.

BLOOBIE  Ah, but this refers to the beta, which is generally free anyway. Let's see what happens when they release the final version. :)

BLOOBIE  After trial and error, I managed to figure out how to actually create and post an item to eBay using 4.x. In all actuality, it should never be this difficult and cumbersome. I have to agree with you on that point. iSale is even worse, IMO.

BLOOBIE  Is this going to be another notoriously forced upgrade like 4.x was?

DEMOLITION  bloobie,

5.0 was released today and the "free upgrade" message is still present on the website.

So, it looks like we're okay 'til the next major release.

BLOOBIE  GrowlSafari does not work anymore with Safari 3.1.1 running under OS X 10.5.3. I also had the same issue as a previous poster where the installer failed on the first try but worked successfully on the 2nd. Weird.
