BILLY THE BIKER I'm looking to get rid of a toolbar. The beta that Safari had out just before the 10.6 update (which broke it) was wonderful on my laptop, because it gave me top tabs that eliminated the space wasting top border. (Version 1.1.5b)

BILLY THE BIKER When I open a pref pane that uses 32 bit, a window states that: "To use the “XXXXXXXX” preferences pane, System Preferences must quit and reopen" and then when you click OK and the pref pane reopens. What does this app do that is different? (Version 1.0)

| Sep 7 2009 |
DEMORAY Actually ALL 64-bit PrefPanes do this "close and reopen" behavior if you are booted in 32-bit. And 32-bit PrefPanes cause this if you're booted in 64-bit. It just restarts System Preferences app in 32 or 64-bit mode. Apple designed it this way. This will happen until ALL PrefPanes upgrade to 64-bit. An easy workaround is to make System Preferences always boot in 32-bit mode. Simply get info on the System Preferences app, (command+I). Then click the box to "Open in 32-bit mode". Problem solved.

BILLY THE BIKER " happy about it didn't have those nutty top-tabs." Nutty in more window space on a lap top. Nutty in much easier to see and choose. Nutty in the fact that a LOT of people want them back. Nutty in that it should at least be an option. Nutty all right. (Version 4.0.3)

KNOWHOWE I wish I hadn't rushed into updating from the beta with Safari Buddy to restore the blue progress bar. I've tried to re-install it but the system won't let me. The top tabs were perfect in conjunction with WindowShade. Anyone know how do this? BILLY THE BIKER I am reposting this comment from a 0.1.2 version of this app. I still think it would be a nice addition BUT; I am unable to scroll to the top of the list with either the trackpad or the scroll arrows. PERSON1229 Don't use that, Application Enhancer (another Unsanity tool that Clear Dock relies on) kills Leopard. So it won't work, and when you reboot you'll see a blue screen of apple death, which is ironicly sad. It doesn't say anything, it's just the screen before the login window, it gets stuck there and stops. Then you have to do some magical trickery to uninstall it. So, just a sum up, you can't use that, it kills Leopard. (Version 1.3.7.1)
