Curious, I followed the information link where I downloaded 'version 2.0' - it is called SafariBlock2-1.dmg. They're of differing sizes as well as names. So, which is it? Or are neither of these version 2.0? (Version 2.0)

BILL B My experience was not like the that of the last reviewer. Double-clicking a flash file correctly launches the player and plays the file. Could be because I'm using Panther. ELTIMA SUPPORT Thanks for using our player. The default SWF icon change feature is added in the latest build (1.1.50.1266). (Version 1.1)

SWF & FLV Player | Dec 29 2005 |
MACUPDATE ADMIN Since the most recent posting of SWF Movie Player here at MacUpdate, nothing has changed on the Eltima pages for SWF Movie Player to suggest that there have been changes to the app since version 1.1 of SWF Movie Player was posted on MacUpdate: no release notes (that I can find) and certainly the version number has not changed. This leads to confusion. Perhaps Eltima will consider a more indicative version numbering system. (Version 1.1)

SWF & FLV Player | Dec 30 2005 |
ELTIMA SUPPORT Indeed, the major and minor numbers have not changed and are 1.1 as of December 30, 2005. This is made intentionally, since there are not many fixes and updates added from the first release. As the result the only build number (the last four digits) is changed from 1.1.50.0632 to 1.1.50.1266. Basically, Eltima Software has the strict policy regarding version numbering which we are due to follow. Unfortunately, macupdate.com doesn't support "change logs" feature that provides you with detailed information about current version and all changes since the first release. To check this info please, visit our homepage at: http://www.eltima.com/products/swf-movie-player/ (Version 1.1)

MACUPDATE ADMIN "Unfortunately, macupdate.com doesn't support "change logs" feature that provides you with detailed information about current version and all changes since the first release." Not true. MacUpdate does support version history/changelogs/release notes. It is just that some developers do not provide that info to us or do not have it available on their website(s). See the submission form, there is a "Version Changes" box for version history/changelog/release notes. (Version 1.1)

JEDIK Maybe you have a permission's issue with your cache folder (~/Library/Caches/Camino). Also, the favicons are stored in the cache, so if you disabled cache you won't have favicons. A patch has been added to the trunk builds (1.0+) that stores the favicons in a separated folder in the cache. (Version 2)

BILL B I got a folder of 50 excellent photos of lightening from a friend, unfortunately they were very high resolution (~9000 x 9000) and were thus unwieldy. I decided to try Drag-N-Scale to resize them. It crashed (twice) while importing them. Toyviewer wouldn't even open an image from the folder. I found this and it worked perfectly! Importing the whole folder took maybe 1/3 as long as iPhoto did. I could size them to fit my screen. The folder was reduced from ~400+ MB to 1.7 MB. I definitely recommend this! (Version 1.4)

Link Sequence Downloader QED | Sep 5 2005 |
DAVID KENNEDY Link Sequence Downloader QED is Free as well. It has been released as Freeware and relies on donations in just the same way as SiteSucker does. While both Link Sequence Downloader QED and SiteSucker are both used for downloading, they both perform subtlety different tasks. SiteSucker is a fully featured website downloader - a powerful program for downloading an entire website (or part of a website). Link Sequence Downloader QED has been designed to download a sequence of files using a simple but powerful Link Sequence notation. Once this notation is understood, it provides a quick and easy way to download a whole batch of specifically targeted files. To complete their respective tasks; SiteSucker behaves like a Web Robot, recursively searching new pages for additional links. Link Sequence Downloader QED does not, it only downloads the specifically requested files. At Zenopolis we would encourage Mac users to try several alternative download solutions to find the one that best suits their needs. (Version 0.02b)

Webpage Saver QED | Sep 5 2005 |
DAVID KENNEDY Whilst Webpage Saver QED is not free as in beer; it is a lot cheaper than the average pint of beer from a local pub here in England, UK. It is intended that Webpage Saver QED will complement Camino, Safari, Mozilla, Firefox, Shiira, IE and other browsers used on the Mac. For instance; in the latest version of Camino (v0.8.4) saving a webpage using the "HTML Complete" format creates a webpage and a folder (containing the webpage's content) at the same level. The content folder contains the all the files needed to display the page for off-line viewing, but with some files renamed to facilitate storing them at the same level. When we tested Camino we found it also renamed some of the content file extensions, so all ".jpg" files became ".jfif" files. In contrast; in Webpage Saver QED, a webpage is saved inside a single folder along with its content (we believe this makes it easier to move the page around your system without it getting disassociated with the content). This folder contains the content organised into subfolders - named after the websites they are related to and stored in the same folder structure (where possible) as the original content. (We believe this makes it easier for those that wish to pick apart the content and get at particular files, as related files are likely to be organised together). This also means the names for the content files on your hard-drive can remain the same as the originals. Finally, Webpage Saver QED does not change the file extensions of the content files (so they should always open with the application you expect them to). Although some will be perfectly happy with the webpage saving facilities of their chosen browser. We are hoping Webpage Saver QED will make life a little better for those that want just a little bit more. David Kennedy of Zenopolis (Version 0.04b)
