Perfect Diet Tracker
Jan 20 2009
*****

BERMUDAAL  This is great program for those who are serious about watching their diet, learning about their diet, and making changes based upon hat they learn. I've been doing this forever manually by writing down things that I eat in a notebook and then trying to look up (or guess) how many calories, nutritional value etc etc... It never works as I never get all of the information entered accurately.

The database provided with this program is phenomenal. So far, I have found everything I eat daily, by brand name! All of the nutritional info is automatically entered and a quick perusal of what one puts into one's mouth each day highlights where you can save unwanted calories.

This is a very useful tool and by far the best method I have found to quickly and effectively track one's diet - this is a data intensive task to do correctly and this program makes it very simple.

BERMUDAAL  This program is not ready for customer use - it's still an early stage Beta. I bought it to rip a few DVDs which Handbrake had trouble with. It took over 40 hours to rip a single DVD on a 2008 PowerMac with 16 gig of Ram! The same DVD takes 40 minutes with Handbrake.

Tech support was responsive, but insisted on sending me patches and having me try all sorts of things to modify the program's package. Their instructions were unclear and the patch they referred to was not what they sent, and in general I didn't get the idea they knew what was up on the Mac platform.

Although the company's refund policy states they will give you a refund if the product doesn't work, they refused to do so despite several requests. Instead, they said kept saying they had a "trial" version (true) and thus I should keep trying to work with them to fix the problem.

I didn't PURCHASE a product to be their beta-tester. Nor should you. Stay away.

FARDILHA  Well, I was going to download the demo and compare it with DVDRemaster Pro ( http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/12826/dvdremaster-pro ) but I guess you spare me of the trouble.

Thanks!
