The problem is in the way Adobe opens this PDF file. The same result occurs when opening your document with Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 on Mac as well. Maybe Adobe renders them into the lower quality to speed up display process, you may check Adobe settings to try to fix this.

BELIGHT TEAM  Hello Allan, we export documents in the highest possible quality (600 dpi) when PDF format is used. Compressed PDF has been removed by Apple from the default OS X Leopard installation, which need to be installed first. Here is where you can download it:

I can suggest you to use PDF filters to reduce file size, filters are available in Options menu in Export dialog. You can contact our tech-support if you need more assistance.

Printfolio is the bundle of 5 programs and I understand that the updating process sometimes may cause the confusion, especially when paid updates are released. We do our best to avoid such situations, that is why we offered free upgrade for all customers who purchased the package after September 1st, 2008 (Mail Factory was replaced with Labels & Addresses on December 9th, 2008). If you purchased Printfolio close to the specified date, please send us an email with the order number or scanned copy of the receipt (if the software was purchased at the retail store) and we will update your package for free.

Users that purchased Mail Factory version 2 and Printfolio on or after September 1, 2008, qualify for a FREE license code for Labels & Addresses. This information was always posted on our website:

BELIGHT TEAM  It seems that you have stopped responding to our e-mails, and decided to complain instead. If you are interested in solving the problem you should continue communicating with our tech-support, as we never heard of any problem like you described in the past.

It will be very helpful if you send us the document you are working with, so that we can try to investigate the problem. In case there is a bug in the program, we will try to find it and fix asap. Also we can advise you a workaround if there are some setting or other issue with your computer. It is hard to fix a problem without understanding it.

Tech-support manager asked you to provide us a crash log and the document you are working with, so that we can understand where the problem is. Unfortunately, you didn't provide us any of these. Without such information it is hard for us to repeat the problem you are experiencing and help you in fixing it. Also, we haven't heard of any similar problem from any other user yet.

If you really interested in solving this problem and not just complaining, please send us the crash log and the document you are working with. In case you need help about how to get crash log, we can explain you how to create it.

BELIGHT TEAM  I don't understand the problem you have, did you read the reply above? If adjusting Outer and Inner margins didn't solve the problem, can you send me an email describing the problem in more details and maybe you can send a screenshot illustrating this?

BELIGHT TEAM  NESSUNO, I suggest you update the program to the latest version which may fix the problem you have with program crashes. You may also contact our support and they may be able to assist you to solve the problem you have.

As for the use of text boxes, I think you haven't really learned the way the program works. The app does not hide any portion of the text that can be fitted on the disc. Unless you set Outer or Inner margins in such a way that Text Wrap causes text to flow down within the text box. These margins can be adjusted from Design Element tab of the Inspector.

It's not clear as well what you mean by not being able to configure text or other default values. Most text settings are accessible from Text tab of the Inspector.

The ability to edit individual labels by clicking on the edit button when printing the sheet of labels is the part of Mail Factory program, but it is not connected with Merge printing and therefore not highly demanded feature. Even contrary, some customers were asking us to remove it because the program was freezing when this feature was enabled (especially in the cases when large amount of labels should be printed). As I said before, in this update we paid more attention to improving merge capability of the program and increasing the range of supported barcodes including industry-standard barcodes. And, of course Print Multiple Designs feature will be added in one of the nearest updates of Labels & Addresses. If you do not want to upgrade now, you may always do it later and continue using Mail Factory without any problems, we did not discontinue the program and still support it.

I don't understand how we could possibly remove a functionality that was never a part of Mail Factory. Yes, I agree that Print Multiple Designs is a valuable feature, furthermore we were trying to include it in Labels & Addresses, but due to time shortage we decided not to. In this update we paid more attention at improving merge capability of the program and increasing the range of supported barcodes including industry-standard barcodes. But we will add this feature in the future.

As for your remark about being asked to pay for the Upgrade given that you already paid Printfolio price. I can't see how Printfolio customers differ from the ones who purchased Mail Factory stand alone program. Combined price of the items included in Printfolio suite is over $150, by paying $80 you got a real deal. And you seems to be using almost every program included in the suite.

Furthermore, we offer free upgrade to people who purchased Mail Factory 3 months prior Labels & Addresses release.
