BARTAS TECHNOLOGIES 80% CPU usage is most definitely unacceptable (and not at all how the software normally runs). Would you please contact support@bartastechnologies.com to report this (include the media file's format as well as your computer's specifications - these are critical details)? It's difficult to fix problems if they're never reported and MacUpdate's comments aren't Bartas's support channel. :-) (Version 2.012)

BARTAS TECHNOLOGIES It would be helpful if you could specify the reasons you feel it is a downgrade. Perhaps the problems you're having could be addressed ...? :-) (Version 2.007)

Temporis | Oct 31 2007 |
BARTAS TECHNOLOGIES For anyone interested, after speaking with the customer it was discovered that the Temporis license in question was sold by MacUpdate during a promotional period, and not through the Bartas Technologies web store. If you purchased a Bartas product through MacUpdate and have questions about the pricing, please contact MacUpdate directly as the transaction was conducted through their point-of-sale system. Whew! What a fun ride! :-) (Version 1.11)

BARTAS TECHNOLOGIES After speaking with an eSellerate engineer (the ecommerce provider Bartas uses), I'm wondering if you have accounted for the VAT: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Value_added_tax Such a wild difference (50%?!) simply does not show up and this can be publicly verified by anyone reading this discussion. If you respond to contact@bartastechnologies.com with your order number, I'll be happy to take a closer look. Other than that, all I can say is the price reflected in Euros is absolutely 100% correct. (Version 1.11)

BARTAS TECHNOLOGIES Since Bartas is based in the US (as is eSellerate) the default currency is US Dollars. Regardless of whether the ratio is given in USD to EUR or EUR to USD, the correct price (when you select your native currency) is still reflected *before* you check out and is accurate. Given those facts, I'm still not sure I understand your complaint. (Version 1.11)

BARTAS TECHNOLOGIES HERVé 5: Could you clarify what you mean by 'offensive'? I'm sure you know all about exchange rates, etc. so I'm wondering if the problem you encountered was that you missed the "Select your Currency" option on our web store where you can select your own currency to see the price reflected with current exchange rates. If you meant something else, please elaborate: I ask so that we can potentially fix a problem or make something more clear. (Version 1.1)

HERVé 5 I mean, 1€ = 1,25$ currently, this is what all paying services I use do apply and what I'm used to, and a paying service that manages to *reverse* the coefficient is definitely offensive (and takes 50% over your price). I am indeed satisfied with Temporis, I see you work a lot since you just issued a second upgrade in one month, but your pay service, or your bank, steals customers when it comes to foreign exchange rates. HERVé 5 I checked out in $, without even thinking about it, as I usually do. I was confident. I was wrong. + 50%. Again may I state I appreciate your software, but I maintain my opinion about your paysystem. I won't comment anymore. (Version 1.11)

BARTAS TECHNOLOGIES Greetings! Thanks for all the interest and positive comments. I felt it necessary to correct a misunderstanding. Temporis *absolutely* supports a scale of 'months' (and many others), however if you want that reflected in the dateline, you must also instruct Temporis how you'd like the dateline formatted. This doesn't change automatically because changing the scale shouldn't lose your date formatting settings. I strongly encourage you to take a look through the Help Book and examine every panel in the Properties pane (on the left) to get a feel for just how flexible Temporis truly is. Regarding formatting, same deal: explore a bit more before you decide it's only got "no styling" - it was in fact built to allow huge variations in formatting. Individual events can be styled separately from the "global style" you define. It's all in the Help Book. :-) (Version 1.1)

Internet Traffic Report Widget | Jan 23 2006 |
BARTAS TECHNOLOGIES Regarding the graph and data: Please note, as is explained in several places, the graphic itself comes from internettrafficreport.com, with whom Bartas Technologies is in no way associated. This widget was created in-house (using the graphic supplied by the afore-mentioned site, which Bartas is not licensed to modify) for our own use. We thought others might like it (and, given the total download count across all download sites from our own records, we were right), so we decided to make it freely available. Again - Bartas has *NO CONTROL* over the graph itself. None. Nada. Zip. We've written internettrafficreport.com, asking for a more widget-friendly graphic but the request has thus far gone unanswered. (Version 1.1)

BARTAS TECHNOLOGIES To clear up the misconception posted anonymously about the activation system: The user wrote a very nasty letter demanding his activation be reset, then five minutes later posted his anger here. As stated in the license agreement, your single-user license allows you to activate CopyWrite on up to two computers simultaneously. Activating it on a third computer requires a previously-activated computer to be deactivated. Had the user bothered to wait more than a few minutes for a response from technical support, he would have noticed that his activation limit was immediately reset upon (a very foul-mouthed) request. Moving to another computer is most definitely not a problem. Anonymous poster, I recommend you have a little more patience with technical support than a three minute response time. (Version 2.2)

Crash Reporter Preference Pane | Dec 30 2004 |
BARTAS TECHNOLOGIES To the gentleman claiming the pref pane somehow affects his system performance: The Crash Reporter application is a built-in part of Mac OS X. It has a preferences file with an option instructing it what to do when it detects a crash. This is part of its functionality, though there is no GUI element that allows a user to modify it. This pref pane does not alter the crash reporter itself in any way, but rather tells it to remain silent or to immediately display the report screen. It does not attempt to kill the process because it is part of OS X. This does *not* affect system performance in any way; it merely changes a preference that previously had to be accessed via the terminal. (Version 1.1)
