Type: TroubleshootingDate: 9 Mar 2008 20:28After using my MacBook for 2+ week with this update installed I can say that the issue hasn't manifested itself as often but it has happened at least 3 times. Also, the issue where the keyboard/trackpad completely die (unresponsive, only the power button work) still occurs.

Type: ReviewDate: 15 Oct 2007 16:36This app is so great! Now that the 80 item limit is gone I can use it to see what files installers install.
It is also an indispensable troubleshooting tool!

Type: CommentsDate: 27 Sep 2007 21:58Wow, firewire transfers are way way way faster now. Best firmware update ever! :-)

Type: CommentsDate: 8 Mar 2007 17:28It's cool, I was just disappointed that it didn't actually squeak.

Type: TroubleshootingDate: 3 Mar 2007 12:15I love this game, very fun and addicting. The only issue i have is the click seem to be late, by maybe a third of a second. This causes me to miss the timer many times.

Type: ReviewDate: 24 Feb 2007 15:11I have always loved this app and up until now I was still using the old version which worked great. It's nice to see an update. I just used this version to restore my data and it worked like a charm. Very nice added features.

Type: TroubleshootingDate: 31 Jan 2007 14:35I've always loved this app, thank you. 1 problem; If you select "Don't check disks when on battery power" you will get stuck with the "Looks like your drive config changed, the prefs window will be opened" dialogue next time it launches. Clicking OK dismisses the dialogue but it just keeps appearing over and over.

Type: CommentsDate: 11 Dec 2006 23:08This haxie is very cool! One thing I wish it could do. I have Up-Down selected as the slide style, and it won't slide the window down if the bottom of the window is close to the bottom edge of the screen (any 'full screen' window). The same idea holds true that it won't slide down a new window if it is near the menubar (although I don't use that bit).

Type: CommentsDate: 30 Nov 2006 18:38Thank you thank you thank you! You also much improved on the cursor position bug, nice work! (I'm sure you can only do so much since the rest may be up to apple)
I can't wait till ResEx is up again, then I will submit my custom cursor set I created.

Type: CommentsDate: 31 Oct 2006 20:09And they STILL haven't fixed the graphical glitch by the scrollbars, that is just sad!

Type: TroubleshootingDate: 31 Oct 2006 15:00Very nice plugin. One problem though. I tried loading a .avi file in Camino, and it got the QT icon with the questionmark (using Camino nightly trunk builds). .flv file just downloaded in Camino. This may be a Camino bug, QT bug, or Perian bug, tough call...

Type: TroubleshootingDate: 22 Sep 2006 20:51Nice app. It should affect aliases though, and not their linked (parent?) file. In other words, I cannot make an alias invisible.

Type: Hint/TipDate: 13 Sep 2006 18:47Thank you for making this. Apple's app sucks, and ALWAYS gives me errors with 8+ files.
One thing that would be nice is an option to throw the file in the trash afterwards.

Type: ReviewDate: 12 Sep 2006 09:51A year later, and here I am echoing the below comment;
Maybe you should fix the issues and bugs before charging more than the OS itself.
Ever heard of open beta?
My "all computers list" has 1000+ clients in it, and if I click on that list, I am going to have to wait at LEAST 10 minutes while it updates all the status. Hey, maybe I don't want to update the status, ever think of that? Give me a stop button maybe?
Copying files is still horrible, though at least it usually works on the 8 or 10th try.
ARDAgent always crashes. My "get info" window doesn't work. Still many crazy keyboard bugs (sometimes it won't type or it holds down the option key without your knowledge).
Many times, a client says "offline" but if you click observe, hey, there it is!
Way to many bugs to be a final version (oh wait, how long ago was this released?). I hate to say it, but this app is as buggy as the Finder, if not worse.

Type: ReviewDate: 18 Aug 2006 16:34I've been waiting years for a hack like this. Nice! One suggestion; when at the beginning and end, the playback head's thin line should be up against the left and right edge of the track, respectably.

Type: Hint/TipDate: 21 Jul 2006 09:34Thank you, thank you, thank you! I've been hoping someone would write a haxie for this purpose.
If these were fixed, this would be perfect;
1. An option to not do anything to the dock. My dock is already hidden, and so when I click on an icon, it hides, then appears again.
2. Like previously stated, it would be nice if the app didn't see the menubar as it opened, then positions it's initial window(s) under the menubar (instead of top of the display). I understand if you can't do anything about this.
3. Expose "show desktop" doesn't respect that the menubar is hidden, but the Finder's desktop icon positions do. This makes it hard to click on the top row of icons. (I use 16x16 icons with labels below icon) I understand if you can't do anything about this.

Type: TroubleshootingDate: 12 May 2006 13:23This also breaks the feature of "GeekBind" where you can use a hotkey to move windows around the screen. Menushade's window gets moved instead. The window always has focus, it probably shouldn't. Or maybe this is a bug with GeekBind.

Type: TroubleshootingDate: 10 May 2006 17:38Forgot two things;
1. The window MenuShade creates gets slid out of the way with "Show Desktop" of Expose.
2. When showing Dashboard, MenuShade should hide it's window.

Type: Hint/TipDate: 10 May 2006 17:04Very nice app. The best solution would be to have a regular menubar, but have it hidden, and when you mouse to the top edge of the screen, it slides down into view (just like a hidden dock) and the ability to have windows moved to the top edge of the screen, and the zoom button respecting this, ect. Now I know you can't do this because it is so low-level, but one can dream. ;-).
As for you who don't want the dock icon; Go download "dockless".

Type: ReviewDate: 14 Nov 2005 19:56This has always been my favorite widget. Now it has really come a long ways! I look forward to 2.0 final.
Just simply the best radar widget. (for the US anyways)

Type: ReviewDate: 7 Nov 2005 17:44Best browser out of all that I have tried! Very stable, very fast. Very Mac like. From what I hear it's way more stable than Safari. Simple and easy interface. Great community over at http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewforum.php?f=12 !

Type: ReviewDate: 8 Apr 2005 13:43Much better than Adobe. You don't need to wait for an external app to open.
Needed features:
1. Scroll wheel support (understand that it's cocoa's fault)
2. A "go to page" button.
Why did my comment get deleted when the above was all that I said????? You guys sure are "delete happy". :-(
If and when this gets deleted, I'm just going to add it again, and again, and again...

Type: ReviewDate: 8 Apr 2005 07:29This is the best way to open PDF in your browser. I like that you don't have to wait for an external app to open, like Acrobat.
Two features that would be really REALLY nice;
Scroll wheel support (I know you've already been asked this).
"Go to page" button.

Type: ReviewDate: 6 Dec 2004 10:59Great MenuExtra. Tons of features. I've NEVER had a problem with this, in all released versions.
Keep up the great work and keep those features a'comin!!

Type: ReviewDate: 8 May 2004 01:09YES YES YES! You have brought back a very easy way to impliment a feature I missed from the OS 9 days. I used to use this plugin called "Icon Tools" and it would make application folder icons using the first alphabetical application in the folder. Well Viou takes it to a whole new level! Now it will prompt you if there is more than one application and let you choose! It will show you the progress as it changes icons in a very nice little utility window. And you can customize the way it makes the folder icons. So you can have it position the icon perfectly, set a shadow, and all the other stuff! SWEET!!! :D

Type: CommentsDate: 18 Apr 2004 19:31I just tried to use this, instead of opening PhotoShop, but it made the Finder crash. So I thought to myself "I wonder if my version is out of date", and sure enough this is listed at the very top of the MU list right now! :D
As for QuickImage, it rocks!!!

Type: CommentsDate: 8 Apr 2004 10:33Add a feature that will completely hide a dock's tabs while being a minimized drawer just like how the Apple dock is completely hidden until your cursor is on the edge of the screen (or 1 pixel away), and then I might pay for this...
OTHERWISE THIS THING ROCKS!

Type: ReviewDate: 1 Apr 2004 10:03This is excellent. The only feature I would like to see is an option to add "Root" (if enabled) to the list of users.
But I don't know if you can do this, since it doesn't show up in the list @ Login Window.

Type: CommentsDate: 26 Mar 2004 09:31This plugin has never given me trouble. The reason I am post is to laugh at the phrase "leading web browsers". Um, actually, those are the WORST web browsers now. IE isn't even being updated for Mac OS!

Type: CommentsDate: 12 Oct 2003 14:41I've always loved this. The only thing is that it says you can change the trash can icon, but I don't see that anywere.

Type: Unknown TypeDate: 24 Sep 2002 09:24Update installed just fine, even on my hacked system. I don't really see any improvements, nor any new problems...
