BBOS  Solved.

Well rather ...

So the current version of X11 wasn't working so I downloaded the new version and installed it. I was getting the errors shown above and posted the TROUBLE comment.

However I noticed from the log file where I went wrong. I just renamed the old version to "X11_crashing" and even though I installed a new version, some how the install was done into this X11_crashing. However there was an X11 created but it seems like the X11_crashing changed its name to this. So I was infact still launching the old version when I crated the above TROUBLE report.

I cleaned all this up and it now works. Pasting has been restored too (which was the original reason I tried to update X11). Phew.

So sorry for this noise and thanks for all the great work on X11.

Cheers,

Brooke

ps. what'd be great is if X-Windows were separate entries in the taskbar. So gnucash, gimp etc... have their own task bar icons. Like Exceed under Windows.

I found Sparkle 1.5b6

http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/20366/sparkle

Should it be ok just to install this? Will it help and not break anything else. I don't have any unusual installs afaik.

Thanks,

Brooke
