ATRAINDD  As those below me have said it's a cool freeware program that cleans up ciscos VPN client a bit but $20 seems like way too much.

ATRAINDD  I love it but until it gets the iCal/Mail integration I can't use it which is too bad because it's the best program I've tried so far.

Dog Year Calculator

ATRAINDD  This widget has changed my life! In the past I had spent hours a day trying to do these human to dog year calculations but finally my prayers have been answered. I do wish it included a dog to human year calculator though as that's another big chunk of my time.

ATRAINDD  I would try searching in spotlight for skype and delete any associated files such as plists, repair permissions, and finally reinstall.

ATRAINDD  2.7.0.195b seems to work much nicer on 10.4.11 than the old 2.7 beta I was. It appears to have fixed a lot of small issues I was having and uses less CPU. Good work Skype team.

ATRAINDD  LCC is a great, It's saved me a few times in 10.4 and the ability to launch off a USB key has come in very useful.

ATRAINDD  Amazing software at a very fair price. I came from a background of C++ and found Igor was very simple to pick up and extremely flexible. The support is great and the manual is extremely thorough, walking you through using the GUI and through advanced programming.

ATRAINDD  This program is really awesome, it speeds up using the internet a ton and is an easy place to keep track of all of my product serial numbers and information as well. Really this is what keychain should have been, but as it is I think keychain does a pretty poor job. The only downside is that it costs more than I think it should.

ATRAINDD  This beta looks good, I did have a slight issue with it only showing my address book contacts but I messed around with the view options and it seemed to fix it. Excellent program, saves me tons of money by not having to pay for a cell phone.

PEDRORS  How did you fix the contact list?

I tried different options and now ALL my contacts appear on the list and no indication of who are online.

Thanks

PEDRORS  Thank you for your reply.

I already sent an email to Skype about this problem.

Fortunately, I only installed in one of my computers, so, at least, I've one that's working well.

Regards

ADAM SIMPSON  RC 1.0 is awesome, they've listened to what customers want and given it to them. Unity is much improved over beta 4 which is great. Speed also seems to have improved and it generally feels smoother. I highly recommend you check it out and the pre-order of $40 is a sweet deal if you like it.

ADAM SIMPSON  I used Camino for quite a while because it was faster than Safari and seemed to render pages Safari couldn't. Safari 3 however seems just as fast as any other browser i've tried if not faster and renders pages that i've had trouble with using camino and firefox. I don't use any plug-in's so it's been a no hassle upgrade.

The only thing I wish they would do is add in an option so all my links could open in a new tab using regular click.

J-A-X  I agree with those comments 100%. I actually think Safari is a bit faster than Camino now with 3.0 but it uses more memory so its a bit of a trade off. I wish that you could open new links in tabs too. One way around this is to use the option in the "Window" menu that says "merge all windows". I even added a keyboard shortcut to do that.

MACUPDATE ADMIN  You can open new links in tabs using the contextual menu: click and hold on the link and select "Open Link in New Tab"

NOOKSTER  The quickest and easiest way to open links in new tabs with Safari is to click them with the mouse wheel, assuming you have one.

Command-click will also work if you've mapped your mouse wheel to a custom command.

MACUPDATE ADMIN  Yes, thanks for that tip, clicking on a link with the mousewheel (I have a macally 'ice mini' mouse) works for me.

J-A-X  What I was talking about was links opened from other applications (such as mail). Camino opens all external links in tabs too. I wish Safari did that but I can use the "merge all windows" feature for now...

MACUPDATE ADMIN  Well, when I click on any link in any of my emails, it opens in a new tab in Safari version 3.0.2 (522.12).

I use Mail.app and I just click normally on the link(s).

J-A-X  Nice,

I have no idea how I missed that.

Now my only issue with Safari is the memory usage, but I guess its a valid tradeoff for speed...

ADAM SIMPSON  There are plenty of benchmarks online that show Safari 3 is faster than safari 2 and in some cases the other browsers as well. Although you're right that server speeds matter safari 3 is just faster and it's pretty noticeable. When you go to a website every day it's easy to see the difference.

ADAM SIMPSON  Overall skype for OSX is pretty nice, it does however take up more resources than I would hope for, and if you try and answer a call while someone is leaving a message mine would crash. Hopefully 2.6.0.137 fixes that, but I had to manually re-install it from 2.6.0.72 because it said I already had to most recent version. Can't beat the prices though.
