APPLECRYPT MODS  I have to be honest here, I use the Finder's ZIP function for just about everything these days. The only real use i have for Stuffit now would be the ability to split archives into smaller chunks. That's a fantastic feature when uploading to our server (esp with my ISP dropping connections!!).

However, I've found a freeware app called 'SimplyRAR' that does this (okay, for RAR format and not zip/sit - obviously). But this is cool. RAR is great and produces small archives too. And it's FREE.

I'm always on the lookout for new tools that can compress & split my archives! For now, it's the Finder and SimplyRAR :-)

APPLECRYPT MODS  great program this and i've been using it for about a year - registered - without any problems. Those that do, i suggest you look elsewhere in your system for the problem. This is not a system hack!

It would be great if the download option was updated more often. Perhaps this is the fault of 3rd party theme designers not submitting their work to Unsanity? I dunno, but i'd love to see this feature updated a heck of a lot more often!!!

APPLECRYPT MODS  i know this depends a lot on the net connection rather than machine spec.. but i've a dual G5 with google earth being very choppy : cpu usage can jump up to 80%/50% at times while (at the same time) the net usage is hardly being pushed. Still, this is quite new to the mac so i guess there's bugs/fine tuning still to do?

But still, this is a great download!! I'm checking out all the places i'll be visiting later in the year for my road trip across america!! SUPERB STUFF!!

Doom3 really needs a G5 Mac and nothing less.. sorry but that's progress and Mac Doom3 will never run quite as well as it should because it's a PORT of another platforms code. So there's always some performance lost bcos it's a PORT. Oh and btw - unpacking the pk4 isn't a good idea. There's no speed improvement and it'll all just take up loads of hdd space! For console: look inside the base folder which is inside Doom3 which is inside Applications Support. Create a text file called "autoexec.cfg" and have this inside it:

Overall, doom3 is demanding but worth it. Great gfx and sfx but the first few levels are pretty samey and dull. It gets better later on and i love the Delta levels, there's some great action here. Scary! Buy it
